Innocents:
DONALD CARLSON On August 25, 1992 at about 10:30 p.m., Donald Carlson returned to his home in Poway, California, opened his garage door with a remote control device, simultaneously illuminating the garage so that Drug Enforcement Administration agents conducting surveillance from nearby could see inside. Just after midnight, when Carlson was asleep, a group of DEA agents burst into his house. Thinking they were robbers, Carlson grabbed his pistol to defend himself. He also dialed 911 for help. The agents shot Carlson three times, twice after he was down and clearly disabled. Carlson spent seven weeks in intensive care, fighting for his life. No drugs were found on the premises.
It was later learned that the Federal Customs Service, the
DEA and the U.S. Attorney's Office in San Diego had relied on an informant who was known to be untrustworthy and who claimed Carlson's garage contained 2,500 kilograms of cocaine (a large amount which would have taken up most of the garage) and four armed guards. The agents conducted the raid in spite of the fact they could see the informant's information was erroneous.
As of this writing, none of the federal agents involved in
the incident have been sanctioned nor has Mr. Carlson been compensated for his injuries.
SINA BRUSH Just after dawn on September 5, 1991 some sixty agents from the DEA, U.S. Forest Service, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (BATF), and National Guard, complete with painted faces and camouflage and accompanied by another twenty or more National Guard troops with a light armored vehicle, raided the homes of Sina Brush and two of her neighbors near Montainair, New Mexico. Brush and her daughter were still asleep. Hearing noises outside, Ms. Brush got up and was only halfway across the room, when the door was kicked in by the agents. Clad only in their underwear, Ms. Brush and her daughter were handcuffed and forced to kneel in the middle of the room while the agents searched the house. No drugs were found. Just as in the Carlson case, the police had obtained a warrant using information furnished by an unreliable informant and had entered Brush's home without knocking first.
WACO This most notorious case has stunned the sensibilities of millions of Americans. According to The Wall Street Journal, "...the BATF showed up at the Davidian compound with two cattle trucks full of agents in battle gear and a plan for 'dynamic entry'." The siege that followed the initial assault included terrifying, psychological warfare tactics and ended when a second attack, utilizing tanks and gas, led to conflagration. "Weird cultists" (your words)? Some of the adults, but certainly not the children.
For two years now, thousands of calls and letters of outrage have been received by government, the media and yes, the NRA. The …cries of "thugs", "Nazi" and "storm trooper" came first, not from the NRA, but from the minds and mouths of Americans describing what they had seen on television.
RANDY WEAVER This debacle at Ruby Ridge continues to fan a seething backlash in the country. A fourteen year old boy was shot in the back and killed. A mother was shot by a sniper in the head and killed while holding a baby. A jury found BATF guilty of entrapment and the defendant was acquitted. How does it all add up to justifiable behavior by, once again, black shrouded forces with armored personnel carriers, helicopters and snipers all arrayed against a family in a cabin? Hundreds of good people have told me that scene reminds them of what this country once fought against and should never stand for.
JANICE HART PORTLAND, OREGON FEBRUARY 1993 Janice Hart pulled up to her house from grocery shopping with her daughters to find her house being ransacked by ATF agents who had kicked in the door. Agents searched her home, throwing dishes, pulling clothing from hangers and emptying drawers on the floor (she photographed the damage). Some eight ATF agents interrogated her in the basement for an hour before reading her her rights. She asked to call an attorney and the agents refused. When they finally asked her if she was Janice Marie Harrell, she told them no, that she was Janice Hart. ATF agents mocked her, accused her of selling firearms and cocaine, then arrested her. The Portland Police, who she commended for their professional demeanor, took her downtown for booking and, within thirty seconds of fingerprinting her, realized ATF had the wrong person.
LOUIS KATONA BUCYRUS, OHIO Louis Katona is a police officer in Bucyrus, Ohio. When shouting and cursing BATF agents rushed into his home to seize his firearms collection, they grabbed his pregnant wife, Kim, and shoved her into a wall. Within days, she suffered a miscarriage. A federal judge threw the government's case out of court and ordered BATF to immediately return Mr. Katona's guns or face jail themselves. The Katonas are presently pressing civil charges against BATF.
I could go on to tell you about Harry and Teresa Lamplugh, Ron and Elaine Miller, Howard and Sandy Wittenberg and many others. All victims of forceful, abusive and often vicious assaults on their homes and businesses by BATF agents who turned out not to have a case. You would hear about cancer medicines thrown all over the floor, family pets stomped to death, terrified children separated from their parents, tires slashed, threatening and hang-up telephone calls and other such behavior that has nothing to do with the America I grew up in.
…If all the above is not bad enough, just 62 days ago, on Wednesday, March 8, 1995 USA Today reported that "...a group of black agents has sued the 4,200-employee agency (BATF), charging widespread discrimination." The special agent in charge of ATF's Houston office, Donnie Carter, said, "There's institutional racism.." inside BATF. The article continues: "The suit charges ATF officials have routinely ignored racial abuses while funneling blacks into low-paying, but dangerous street assignments with little career potential. The black agents' legal documents cite numerous racial problems, including how: White agents in Oklahoma City in 1991 plastered their walls with a Confederate flag, a 'State of Oklahoma Nigger Hunting License', and a Ku Klux Klan business card. Black agents at the ATF office in Chicago in 1991 went to the photocopier and found a picture of civil rights activist Jesse Jackson with the words 'jungle bunny' scrawled on it."
If you watched any of NRA's recent appearances on national television, you know that we did not use this article to deflect criticism of our own language. Nor did we refer to the "60 Minutes" report that appeared on Sunday, January 12, 1993 in which female BATF agents themselves described a sickening pattern of sexual harassment, intimidation and retaliation in their own ranks. One agent reported, "I was held against the hood of my car and my clothes ripped off by two agents." Another said a male agent had "... repeatedly left dildos on my desk." She then reported that, "... he trapped me in a room and told me he would screw me in a New York minute."
A male BATF agent who had come forward to support the charges of the female agents summed it up this way: "They violate the basic principles and tenets of the Constitution and the laws and simple ethics of morality. That's what disgusts me."
Just last Thursday, May 4, The New York Times, in an editorial stated that BATF, "...has had its share of problems, including inexcusable errors leading up to the tragedy at Waco." The editorial went on to say that BATF, "... is badly in need of internal reform. Waco was merely the most spectacular in a series of lapses in which the BATF became too aggressive...". They referred to BATF's, "...woeful record of sex and racial discrimination." They said, "BATF is struggling with a legacy of mismanagement and large, visible mistakes that have undermined the public's confidence in its ability to do its job." And finally, the editorial declared that, "...if the agency is to survive, it must face its demons." Toward that end, the editorial concluded that congressional hearings, "...can serve a useful purpose." That is exactly what NRA, ACLU, BATF's victims and millions of concerned citizens have been demanding for the last two years.
The same editorial reminded its readers that, "Representative John Dingell has called its agents 'jack-booted American fascists' and Representative Harold Volkmer has called BATF 'one of the most Rambo-rogue law enforcement agencies in the United States'."
…Let me also call to your attention that the last time BATF abuses were investigated was in hearings before the Subcommittee on Treasury, Post Office and General Appropriations of the Senate Appropriations Committee in July 1979 and April 1980, and before the Subcommittee on the Constitution of the Senate Judiciary Committee in October 1980. They concluded, "Based upon these hearings it is apparent that enforcement tactics made possible by current federal firearms laws are constitutionally, legally, and practically reprehensible. ...These practices, amply documented in hearings before this Subcommittee, leave little doubt that the Bureau has disregarded rights guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the United States. ...It has trampled upon the Second Amendment by chilling exercise of the right to keep and bear arms by law abiding citizens. ... It has offended the Fourth Amendment by unreasonably searching and seizing private property. ...It has ignored the Fifth Amendment by taking private property without just compensation and by entrapping honest citizens without regard for their right to due process of law. ... The rebuttal presented to the Subcommittee by the Bureau was utterly unconvincing. ...Evidence was submitted establishing that approximately 75 percent of BATF gun prosecutions were aimed at ordinary citizens who had neither criminal intent nor knowledge...."
Following the lead of the Senate, it was the Reagan-Bush Administration that cracked down on BATF and cleaned up the way they conducted themselves throughout the ensuing decade. Has former President George Bush forgotten his previous passion for justice and fairness for all law-abiding citizens?
The facts are there. No American citizen can be proud of this agency's record in the last four years. Certainly, there are many fine, professional and heroic BATF agents who have served our nation with great distinction during this period, but their professionalism and honor are being overwhelmed by an increasingly angry and outraged American public that will not tolerate fear of their own government. That's why The Wall Street Journal in an editorial last Tuesday, May 2, 1995 said "...recent history suggests that the people in charge of this country's system of law, order and justice had better get their acts together pretty darn quick." And, in a little noted and largely ignored Time/CNN poll conducted eight days after the bombing in Oklahoma City, fifty-two percent of those questioned agreed that "...the federal government has become so powerful that it poses a threat to the rights and freedoms of citizens." That so many Americans actually fear their own government is a storm cloud on this country's horizon of unimaginable proportions.
Are NRA's words to blame? Are John Dingell's? Is it the rhetoric of Rush Limbaugh or Bill Clinton or David Letterman? I don't think so. I believe more and more Americans see an emerging double standard that disgusts them. Again, I quote from The Wall Street Journal editorial of May 2, 1995, "Allowing for the dilemmas of the real world, we seem to have a double standard today: It says that law enforcement officials can do what they want with unpopular defendants like religious fanatics and white supremacists. But in dealing with suspects who might charge racial prejudice, they have to be careful indeed. Even in the wake of Oklahoma City, we are about to have the release of a Mario Van Peebles film making the Black Panthers into entertainment, guns and all."
I wonder what type a book an individual from this organization would write?

2020.10.13 14:49 rusticgorilla Lost in the Sauce: Fox News launders unverified Russian intel on Trump's behalf

Welcome to Lost in the Sauce, keeping you caught up on political and legal news that often gets buried in distractions and theater… or a global health crisis.
Housekeeping:

Trump’s Russian laundromat

The Trump administration has been using conservative outlets like Fox News to launder unverified Russian intelligence intended to denigrate Democratic officials and candidates. In the latest instance last week, DNI John Ratcliffe declassified handwritten notes from 2016 by then-CIA Director John Brennan stating that he had briefed President Obama on Russian activities, including a reference to Hillary Clinton’s campaign attempting to “vilify Donald Trump.” Fox News was the first to publish the notes.
Brennan accused Ratcliffe of selectively declassifying documents in order to "advance the political interests" of Trump ahead of the election:
"These were my notes from the 2016 period when I briefed President Obama and the rest of the national security council team about what the Russians were up to and I was giving examples of the type of access that the US intelligence community had to Russian information and what the Russians were talking about and alleging," he added.
Ratcliffe has approved the release of even more information meant to assist Trump, including “a large binder full of documents” he gave to the Justice Department. "At my direction, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence has provided almost 1,000 pages of materials to the Department of Justice in response to Mr. Durham's document request,” Ratcliffe confirmed.
There is nothing illegal about the actions allegedly taken by the Clinton campaign, as detailed in the released documents. As Lawfare explains, the declassified memo originated from the CIA’s Counterintelligence Mission Center:
Importantly, it is not a crimes report. Rather, as the name suggests, the purpose of a CIOL is to pass operational leads to the FBI for counterintelligence purposes. In this case, the CIA had information indicating that a hostile foreign intelligence service may have spied on a U.S. presidential campaign. Even if the intelligence was questionable, it still presented a significant counterintelligence risk—which is why, as Ratcliffe’s letter says, it was reported to the FBI...
Meanwhile, Trump tweeted that he has authorized the release of every document related to the “Russian Hoax” and the “Hillary Clinton Email Scandal. Tweet. He then added:
All Russia Hoax Scandal information was Declassified by me long ago. Unfortunately for our Country, people have acted very slowly, especially since it is perhaps the biggest political crime in the history of our Country. Act!!!
  • In an interview on Fox News a couple of days later, Trump expressed displeasure that Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had not yet released the emails deleted from Clinton's private server: "She said she had 33,000 e-mails...They're in the State Department, but Mike Pompeo has been unable to get them out, which is very sad actually. I'm -- I'm not happy about him for that, that reason. He was unable to get -- I don't know why. You're running the State Department and you get them out.” (clip)
  • The very next day, Pompeo appeared on Fox News to assert: "We've got the emails, we're getting them out." Asked if they would be released before the election, he said, "I certainly think there'll be more to see before the election." (clip)
Buzzfeed News took Trump’s tweets to a judge to gain the release of the entire unredacted Mueller report before Election Day. US District Judge Reggie Walton directed the Justice Department to “confer with the White House” and report back to the court the “official position regarding the declassification and release to the public of information related to the Russia investigation.”

Durham probe

For the second straight week, the media is reporting the Durham investigation will not produce a report prior to the election. Last week, AG Bill Barr reportedly told top Republicans that they should not expect any further indictments or a comprehensive report before Nov. 3.
Trump publicly attacked Barr for what he sees as the slow progress of the Durham probe. “I think it’s a terrible thing. And I’ll say it to [Barr’s] face...See, this is what I mean with the Republicans. They don’t play the tough game,” Trump told Rush Limbaugh on Friday.
  • Earlier in the week, Trump sent an all-caps tweet calling for the arrests of his political rivals: “DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS, THE BIGGEST OF ALL POLITICAL SCANDALS (IN HISTORY)!!! BIDEN, OBAMA AND CROOKED HILLARY LED THIS TREASONOUS PLOT!!! BIDEN SHOULDN’T BE ALLOWED TO RUN - GOT CAUGHT!!!” Trump tweeted.

Court cases

A three-judge Appellate Court panel ruled that Manhattan D.A. Vance can enforce a subpoena seeking President Trump’s personal and corporate tax returns. The panel was made up of two Clinton-appointees and an Obama-appointee. Trump’s attorneys are expected to appeal to the Supreme Court.
They concluded that the president did not show that Mr. Vance had been driven by politics. “None of the president’s allegations, taken together or separately, are sufficient to raise a plausible inference that the subpoena was issued out of malice or an intent to harass,” they wrote.
Prominent Trump and GOP fundraiser Elliott Broidy was charged with conspiring to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act. Prosecutors say Broidy accepted $6 million from a foreign client to lobby administration officials to end a federal investigation related to the looting of the 1Malaysia Development Berhad fund, known as 1MDB. The court filing also accuses Mr. Broidy of seeking the extradition of a Chinese citizen from the United States.
  • Note that Barr received a waiver to participate in the investigation of 1MDB despite his former law firm’s involvement in the case. Steve Bannon was arrested earlier this year on a yacht belonging to one of the individuals tied up in the case, as well.
Trump appeals order to continue Census count to the Supreme Court. A three-judge panel of the 9th Circuit upheld a lower court order allowing the 2020 count to continue through October. The administration has asked SCOTUS to put an immediate hold on the injunction while it appeals.
The Supreme Court punted a decision on access to abortion, keeping open the option of revisiting the case at a later date. The Trump administration asked the high court to require women seeking the drugs for medication abortions to visit a doctor’s office or clinic. The order was unsigned but Justices Alito and Thomas declared their approval of the administration’s request in a separate filing.
“While COVID-19 has provided the ground for restrictions on First Amendment rights, the District Court saw the pandemic as a ground for expanding the abortion right recognized in Roe v. Wade,” wrote Alito and Thomas.
Other court cases to note:
  • Lawyers for E. Jean Carroll asked a judge to block the DOJ from intervening to represent Trump in her defamation lawsuit against the president. Her lawyers say the law in question, the Federal Tort Claims Act, does not apply to Trump — or to any other president. They also said that Trump, in any case, was not acting in his official role when he denied Carroll’s claims. Oral arguments in the case are scheduled for Oct. 21.
  • The DOJ admitted to “inadvertently” producing altered versions of notes from former FBI officials McCabe and Strzok that were turned over to Michael Flynn’s defense team and filed to the court as potentially exculpatory evidence. As Marcy Wheeler explains, this explanation doesn’t match all the evidence.
  • Court-appointed adviser John Gleeson, a retired judge, urged District Judge Emmet Sullivan to take the president’s comments about the case into account when making a decision about whether or not to grant the Flynn-DOJ joint effort to permanently end the prosecution. Gleeson notes that Trump’s tweets provide evidence of political pressure to drop the case against Flynn: Trump successfully pressured the DOJ to “create a new set of rules that only apply to Michael Flynn and will never apply to anyone else.”
  • A federal judge in California has ordered that Twitter reveal the identity of an anonymous user who allegedly fabricated an FBI document to spread a conspiracy theory about the killing of Seth Rich, the Democratic National Committee staffer who died in 2016.

Administration

Voice of America: Five suspended officials at the U.S. Agency for Global Media (USAGM) are suing the agency, its new CEO and several of his most senior aides, alleging they are breaking the law — routinely — in pursuing a pro-Trump agenda for the Voice of America news service.
David Kligerman, who has been suspended from his position as general counsel of the agency by Pack, told NPR that the case was necessary to get the courts to enforce the firewall. (He is not a party to the case, though he is cited in it as a whistleblower harmed by Pack's actions.) Kligerman and the five plaintiffs jointly filed a whistleblower complaint late last month, alleging Pack sought to oust them under a pretext of "security concerns" because they challenged his intrusion into journalistic decision-making.
  • Reminder: CEO Michael Pack, an ally of Steve Bannon, started his tenure by firing the heads of four organizations under USAGM. He then refused to renew the U.S. visas of more than 70 foreign journalists who work for VOA, vaguely accusing some of them of being spies. Pack tried to fire the board of the Open Technology Fund, an organization that supports Internet freedom initiatives, but a court blocked the terminations. Nevertheless, Pack succeeded in cutting off a large portion of its funding, forcing the non-profit to suspend over 80% of its projects. Finally, Pack ordered two political operatives he installed as his aides to investigate Steve Herman, the VOA White House bureau chief who reported on Pence’s disregard for masks, for anti-Trump bias.
Bureau of Land Management: William Perry Pendley, head of the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), is refusing to leave his position after a judge ruled he is illegally serving as chief. “I have the support of the president,” he told the Wyoming Powell Tribune. “I have the support of the secretary of the interior and my job is to get out and get things done to accomplish what the president wants to do.”
CIA appointment: Bert Mizusawa, a retired major general who served as an advisor to Trump’s 2016 campaign, was quietly installed in a senior advisory role at the CIA earlier this year. The move is spurring discussion among some former agency officials, who say the arrangement is highly unusual.
“An outsider with no internal sponsorship?” said one of the former officials. “That never happens.”
...Trump allies outside the administration have signaled frustration with Haspel in recent weeks, accusing the CIA chief of blocking the declassification of documents relevant to the investigation into his 2016 campaign’s ties to Russia that they view as exculpatory.
Trump has appointed Justin Peterson to the Financial Oversight and Management Board for Puerto Rico, sparking conflict of interest allegations. Peterson previously represented hedge fund bondholders pushing the board to pay them billions of dollars. Rep. Nydia Valazquez (D-NY): “As a member of the Board, Peterson would have a critical say in how to restructure the Island’s debt, but his coziness with bondholders is a serious red flag and a clear conflict of interest.”
A hate group employee is now leading diversity & inclusion efforts in the Department of Education. Weeks ago, Sarah Parshall Perry was defending J.K. Rowling on the Family Research Council podcasts. Now, Betsy Devos has bought Perry aboard to oversee inclusivity within the DOE.

Trump money

NYT revealed that Trump “engineered a sudden windfall” in 2016, moving over $21 million from a Vegas hotel Trump owns with billionaire Phil Ruffin, through other Trump companies, to his campaign.
“If Trump took out a bank loan in the LLC’s name for the purpose of financing his election, then the Trump campaign violated its legal reporting requirements by failing to disclose the loan, and failing to disclose that Trump’s Vegas property was used as collateral.”
The Times also reported that the LLC in question–Trump Las Vegas Sales and Marketing–claimed a deduction on the payment made to Trump in 2016. If the $30 million loan was, in fact, used to finance the president’s then-money-starved campaign, the potential criminality would be amplified.
In an apparent quid pro quo, Ruffin asked Trump for a favor after his inauguration: revive the high speed train project to bring gamblers from California to the Vegas strip. The Obama administration considered but turned down a $5.5 billion loan for the train. This past March, the Trump administration approved the project.
Among the train’s chief beneficiaries will be Mr. Ruffin and the other grandees of gambling who became a vital font of political money for Mr. Trump when he needed it most. And, of course, Donald Trump himself.
Another NYT report showed that Trump “reinvented” the swamp after he took office, setting up an extensive quid pro quo network with private businesses and special interests. Over 200 companies, special-interest groups, and foreign governments patronized Trump’s properties while reaping benefits from him and his administration.
Just 60 customers with interests at stake before the administration brought the Trump Organization nearly $12 million during the first two years of Mr. Trump’s presidency, The Times found. Almost all saw their interests advanced, in some fashion, by the president or his government.
...During Mr. Trump’s campaign and the months leading up to his inauguration, the in-house magazine at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida announced nearly 100 new members, a number of whom had significant business interests in Washington. The tax records show that in 2016 alone, the club’s initiation fees delivered close to $6 million in revenue.
...More than 70 advocacy groups, businesses and foreign governments threw events at the properties that had previously been held elsewhere, or created new events that drove dollars into Mr. Trump’s business.
Donors also paid for the privilege of giving money to his campaign and super PAC. Mr. Trump attended 34 fund-raisers held at his hotels and resorts, events that brought them another $3 million in revenue. Sometimes, he lined up his donors to ask what they needed from the government.
Trump claimed a $21 million tax break for leaving the woodland surrounding his New York mansion undeveloped, a figure inflated by what appears to be a fraudulent appraisal. The value of the 212-acre estate was based on the premise that Trump could build and sell 24 manions on the land. However, building anything on that property was impossible, due largely to objections by neighbors. Trump was paid by the government not to build mansions that he never could have built, in other words.
In addition to the conservation easement tax break, Trump in 2014 also classified Seven Springs as an investment property, rather than a personal residence, and wrote off $2.2 million in property taxes as a business expense, the New York Times recently reported.
Trump’s family members have described the home as a family retreat in the past, and the Trump Organization’s website still characterizes Seven Springs that way. “Today, Seven Springs is used as a retreat for the Trump family,” the website says.
Trump’s adult children have brough at least $238,000 of taxpayer money into the Trump Organization by traveling to their family properties with Secret Service. “The president’s company billed the U.S. government hundreds, or thousands, of dollars for rooms agents used on each trip, as the agency sometimes booked multiple rooms or a multiroom rental cottage on the property,” WaPo reports.
The records also show about $29,000 in federal payments to Trump properties that related to travel by Donald Trump Jr. Trump Jr. stayed repeatedly at the Trump hotel in Washington — just blocks from his father’s residence at the White House...
In the records obtained by The Post, travel by Ivanka Trump and her family accounted for more than $42,000 in federal payments to Trump properties. Much of that total came this spring, after Ivanka Trump had urged other Americans not to travel.
US taxpayers picked up the tab for billionaire US ambassador's stay at Donald Trump’s Scottish resort. The billionaire US ambassador to the UK, Woody Johnson, ran up a bill to US taxpayers totalling more than £1,000 in a single day while staying at Donald Trump’s flagship Scottish hotel and golf resort.
American Oversight, a non-partisan, non-profit ethics watchdog: “That Donald Trump uses his office and American tax dollars to prop up his failing businesses is widely known and shameful. That the US ambassador to the UK would use taxpayer money to play golf is simply embarrassing.”

Immigration

Border wall: The Ninth Circuit on Friday ruled that President Donald Trump’s allocation of military funds for construction of his border wall was illegal. In a 2-1 ruling, the three-judge panel lifted a stay on a lower court order, thus putting an immediate stop to all border wall construction. The one dissenting judge was Daniel Collins, a Trump appointee.
Family separation 1.0: Former AG Jeff Sessions and Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein led the push to prosecute all undocumented immigrants even if it meant separating children from their parents.
[Rosenstein told] the five prosecutors that it did not matter how young the children were. He said that government lawyers should not have refused to prosecute two cases simply because the children were barely more than infants.
Family separation 2.0: Customs and Border Protection touted agents’ “rescue” of a Honduran woman who just gave birth. What border officials didn’t mention was that, hours after their purported rescue, they separated the Honduran immigrant from her newborn and detained her pending possible removal.
  • “They told her she was going to be sent back to Mexico without her baby,” said Amy Maldonado, who is legally representing the mother.
Detention: Inside the US Marshals’ Secretive, Deadly Detention Empire: Due in large part to Trump’s aggressive immigration policies, the Marshals population is approaching historic highs. About two-thirds of all prosecutions between October 2018 and April 2019 were related to immigration crimes.
Deportation: ICE officials have started to implement a policy that allows officers to arrest and rapidly deport undocumented immigrants who have been in the US for less than two years - all without a hearing in front of a judge.

2020.10.13 10:31 pregadorchuck A Commentary Of Daniel 8, Election Edition 2020

The prophecy of the rough goat in Daniel 9 promises a lot of action, charging, violence and eventually defeat at his hands. The prophetic pointers of the AX man is buried inside Daniel's visions way beyond the court history of Daniel in Persia. All he did was to follow YH's instruction to write down what he saw sans embellishment. He did. Little did he know much like we know today, at least 4 visions are happening in 2020. Today we take a look at Daniel 8. America is not mentioned by name by the ram draws an inference to Donald Trump and Mike Pence in the 45th administration of America.
While we whether call Donald John Trump "my president" or "not my president", you cannot escape the bombarding of "the leftist media" daily to our attention. He is a force to be reckoned with. We may recognize that the political entry of a man who had never been elected to any office is currently the 45th president of the United States. Many of the anointed worshipers of YHVH know that this is the hand of God in preventing the House of Clintons to takeover America in answering our prayers.
The political office of DJT in a Trump-Pence administration is Adonai's way of raising an end times Cyrus (Koresh in a Persian flavor, meaning ruler). Just as his prefigure, Cyrus the Great, liberated the Jews from the Babylonian exile, this end times has his work cut of for him ahead. He has accomplished where no man before him had done for Israel. It is amazing that God will use America to help and bless Israel. Many in the States choose to stand with Israel. And this is the president that is an answer to prayers. Just as in Genesis 12 3 there is a promise, we get to cash in on the associated blessings as individuals to heed Adonai. The prefigure Cyrus liberated the House of David in 536 BC by issuing the historic Cyrus Edict, by law. Donald J Trump will also have liberated the House of David and the Jews by an act of law, this is the pattern that is given to all Bible readers. That is why the value of prophecy is so high. As such, it is reasonable to say that the Prophets section in the Old Testament is not all about the bygone history of Israel. It is that and also about the future history in the making of the State of Israel.
The prophecy toward the Second Coming of our Messiah and before that happens, as the Scripture chronologize the two events, the revealing of the antichrist (AX) - the man of lawlessness, the man of sin, the son of perdition in Paul's 2 Thessalonians 2 is also foretold in a pattern. Donald J Trump will be doing all the things to help Benjamin Netayahu's government and the capital of Jerusalem. The ramificatinos of all of the above however, will also advance the Lord's written plan for Israel. He will take her back to under His wings as He promised in many places in the Old Testament, beginning in Deuteronomy 4. So far, DJT has written an executive order to recognize Jerusalem as the rightful (Biblical) capital of Israel. He has ordered for the US Embassy to move in to Jerusalem. Many of his predecessors had wanted to hold back on the return of the Messiah by holding down Israel by not advancing the Embassy Act until Donald Trump, who loves Israel. Ivanka attended the opening of the historic embassy as the first nation ever to set up diplomatic presence in Jerusalem.

There are so many signs today to those who worships God and who are on the watch for His coming. Every week in 2020, I have posts out to announce one sign or another being brought before us to repent for something awesome is on the loose. And if one does not repent, the doom that will be unleashed will come upon the unrepentent person without zero protection. Just as you would not go to the beach without bringing SPF. You will be burned bad if you do not bring fruit meet for repentance esp. in these last weeks leading up to 2021. Time really is of the essence here.
We need to call each other to repentance and hold each other honest. We are team.
What about these signs? They serve two purposes in general. One, they comfort those who long to be reunified with Christ when He comes. These signs say He is on schedule. Two, the signs warn us that the son of perdition is getting closer and closer to getting a release date. The prophecy toward the Second Coming of both figures -- you got it, Messiah and the anti Messiah -- are like bookends that will make 2020 - 2024 like never before. AX is who Paul called in 2 Tasloniqim (Thessalonians) the man of lawlessness, the man of sin and the son of perdition. Perdition means total ruin. You won't wish that on your worst enemy.
Donald Trump the President is not Donald Trump the media showman. He is more now. He combines the natural gifts that he is given with the office of the most powerful individual in the free world to work for the kingdom of YH. In the end, his actions will have two outcomes. Israel will be made "great" again. In 2017, Trump raised Israel from the lowly place that Obama has put her under to a place of prestige only because the United States gives her an endorsement for legitimate status, instead of the Zionist image that is the bully of Palestine, the body bombers.

No one knew it was coming. Adonai appointed a figure that came as the role that the historic Koresh The Great in Daniel's time to do the same for the Jews what Koresh did for Zerubbabel and Jeshua the High Priest. The Temple worship of Judaism will be revived. This is prophesied in Zechariah as the necessary step to break the hardness of hearts of the Jews in the new nation. And then the latter rain will come to Israel and cause lives to be reborn in Messiah. All the worshipers of Messiah rejoice at this "hill". Yes, it is quite a hill to climb but prophecy has already dictated what wonderful things will come out at the other end of the trial and Jacob's Trouble.
The "time of Jacob's trouble" comes from Jeremiah 30:7 that says, "Alas! For that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble, but he shall be saved out of it"
I read it. Paul knew it. You read it. Israel will be saved OUT OF IT. Praise the LORD for all my Jewish brethren and sistren.
By the appearance of a second Cyrus in Trump-Pence, we may associate "good Persia" in Daniel 8. In Daniel 7, Persia is represented by an oppressive regime over Israel as the bear who tips on one side. In Daniel 8, the ram represent ancient Persia. It is attacked by the ferocious rough goat that represented Alexander The Great's Grecian empire in 333 BC. The "good Persia" today is the USA. As Darius acted as a friend to Daniel, who was trapped by the satraps to be thrown into the lions' den, Darisu prays for Daniel and wants to see Daniel saved from the lions miraculously. We know how that ended in Daniel 6.
We can pretty much say this about modern day Israel from Daniel the personified Israel. . 3 Then Daniel began distinguishing himself[c] above the administrators and the satraps because[d] an exceptional spirit was in him, and so the king planned to appoint him over the whole kingdom. 4 Then the other administrators and satraps began to seek[e] to find a pretext against Daniel in connection with the kingdom,[f] but they were not able to find any pretext and corruption[g] because[h] he was trustworthy, and no[i] negligence or corruption[j] could be found in him.[k] 5 Then these men said,[l] “We will not find any pretext[m] against this Daniel unless we find it in connection with the law of his God.”
For out of jealousy of her success, the others will attack her later. Donald Trump now acts as the Darius of Persia type going to bat for Israel against the opposition of all the minions sent after him from the left. Trump and Pence together form a prophetic administration that will help Israel. But first they need to protect America from the pandemic. To quote Rush Limbaugh, it was only because of the growth that Donald Trump accomplished in the financial bulwark in the first three years from 2017 - 2019 that America was able to withstand the pandemic halt and stop work in 2020. 2020 started off as a shmita year. And as the trumpets were blasted on Yom Kippur, the last Yobel has arrived. There will be further 'release" in 2021, including all the slaves in the gentile grafted branch to the Holy Root. Those who act as the adopted sons and daughters of God by their faithfulness will remain in the house. But the slaves will be let go of in the Yobel.
Y'shua says in John 15. “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. 2 Every branch that does not bear fruit in me, he removes it, and every branch that bears fruit, he prunes it in order that it may bear more fruit. 3 You are already clean because of the word that I have spoken to you. 4 Remain in me, and I in you. Just as the branch is not able to bear fruit from itself unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. "

Some will abide in Him while some won't. Some will flourish and some will be cut off by Father.
Also, those who keep on sinning as Christians must heed this. This is so good. John 8,
34 Jesus replied to them, “Truly, truly I say to you, that everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin. 35 And the slave does not remain in the household forever;[ac] the son remains forever.[ad] 36 So if the son sets you free, you will be truly free. 37 I know that you are descendants of Abraham. But you are seeking to kill me, because my word makes no progress among you. 38 I speak the things that I have seen with the Father; so also you do the things that you have heard from the Father.”
As for those the Father will personally cut off from His Son, they show no fruit for Him to inspect.
14 You are my friends if you do what I command you. 15 No longer do I call you slaves, because the slave does not know what his master is doing. But I have called you friends, because everything that I have heard from my Father I have revealed to you. 16 You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and your fruit should remain, in order that whatever you ask the Father in my name he will give you. 17 These things I command you: that you love one another.
The two horns of the ram manifest symbollically in 2016 as Trump and Pence.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cDh55Ku8UE8
The symbolical Persia today in the White House is not to be confused with the Ayatollah's regime in modern day Iran.
It is of no coincidence that Trump-Pence rhymes with Trumpets, the center of attention of the Biblical Feast Of Trumps. Blasting the shofar stands for in-gathering, for weeping and for warning of an attack. While Yom Kippur that follows it represent the coronation of a king.
Some will tell you that the word Trump means world ruler. In Persian, the same word is the Cyrus.
Here is a fresh view of the application of Daniel 8 in 2016 - 2024.
4 I saw the ram charging westward and northward and southward, and none of the beasts stood before it,[j] and there was no rescuing from its power,[k] and it did what it wanted[l] and it became strong.[m]

5 And I was considering this, and look, a he-goat coming from the west across the face of the whole earth, and it was not touching the ground;[n] and the he-goat had a conspicuous horn[o] between its eyes. 6 Then it came toward the ram that had the two horns[p] that I saw standing before[q] the stream, and it ran at it with[r] the rage of its power. 7 And I saw it approaching the ram and it was furious at it, and it struck the ram, and it broke its two horns, and there was not strength in the ram to stand before him,[s] and he threw it down to the ground and trampled it, and there was no one who could rescue the ram[t] from its power. 8 And the he-goat grew exceedingly great,[u] and at the height of its power[v] the great horn was broken, and four conspicuous horns[w] came up in place of it toward the four winds of heaven.
While Trump-Pence runs a Keep America "Great" campaign for the re-election, the new power that be is said prophetically to be "exceedingly great" - meod hig'dil. Someone will come along and outpace this administration in its time. As students of Scripture we know now that it is up to no good to America as well as to Israel.
9 And from one of them[x] came forth a horn, a little one,[y] and it grew exceedingly[z] toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the beautiful land. 10 And it grew up to the host of heaven, and it threw down to the ground some of the host and some of the stars and trampled them. 11 Even against the prince of the hosts it acted arrogantly and took away from him the regular burnt offering, and the place of his sanctuary was overthrown.

Little is from the Hebrew word "mitstsehirah", meaning little, insignificant, a small thing. Whoever it is now in October 2020, you won't notice him on the news. No, it is not Jared Kushner. He is already famous. Mitsteshirah appears only this once in the Old Testament. We have no comparison for it elsewhere, there is no prefigure. God will keep us guessing until revelation. But the mitstsehirah liitle horn will change. It will grow and be energized until it becomes it snew form:
Compare vv. and 9. The ram: charging westward and northward and southward. The little horn: toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the beautiful land.
Notice its target is ultimately Israel (the beautiful land). It is said to grow toward the east, implying it came from the west of Israel. That is a place in Turkey all the way to France. A little man in stature (not height) will be raised up from the shadows to take over Israel. He shall be a foreigner to Israel. The much anticipated AX is just as Revelation 13 says he is, coming up from the sea with seven heads, ten horns and ten crowns. The "sea" means the nations apart from Israel.
Israel will initially receive favorably this foreigner. But his intention is sinister, which will only be revealed by God as He rips off his mask at the 3 1/2 year point once the Daniel's last one seven begins. Actually the last one seven began in 2020.
To briefly close with verses 10 - 11, somehow he shall even fight against the holy armies in heaven and weaken them. This shall be an angelic war. My prediction is it has to do what will be released at the fifth trumpet when the key to open the abyss will turn to "Open".
10 And it grew up to the host of heaven, and it threw down to the ground some of the host and some of the stars and trampled them. 11 Even against the prince of the hosts it acted arrogantly and took away from him the regular burnt offering, and the place of his sanctuary was overthrown.
The insignificant horn will take on a mighty form to even trample some of the angels of heaven (stars) by taking casualty. He shall take away from the Prince of Host the regular burnt offering. The word for Prince is Sar as in the Prince of peace, Y'shua. Here to remain in context, the prince of host would refer to an earthly office the High Priest of Israel. We will look to Israel for when Judaism will return to the secular state (now it is secular, although in 2020 the Knesset has written into the basic law that the feasts of the Bible are made national holy days). A son of Aaron will be appointed the new High Priest, and that man is alive today he is older than 30 years old. He shall wear the ephod on his priestly uniform depicting all twelve tribes of Israel. These are the host of Israel, not of heaven.
In short, the insignificant horn grown big will remove the regular sacrifice from the new High Priest in Jerusalem once it gets to the stage shortly before he announces that he is god in the new temple.
12 And on account of transgression, the host was given over to the horn in addition to the regular burnt offering. And it cast down truth to the ground, and it acted,[aa] and it had success.
He shall take charge of the army of Israel. he shall preside over both the military and the priesthood. He is indeed the false Christ. Christ is the One that was prophesied in Zechariah to fulfill both civic and religious offices. This guy is a pretender and an imposter.
Christ has given this warning before His visit in Matthew 24.
The Abomination of Desolation
15 “So when you see the abomination of desolation[h] spoken about by the prophet Daniel standing in the holy place” (let the one who reads understand), 16 “then those in Judea must flee to the mountains! 17 The one who is on his[i] housetop must not come down to take things out of his house, 18 and the one who is in the field must not turn back to pick up his cloak. 19 And woe to those who are pregnant[j] and to those who are nursing their babies[k] in those days! 20 But pray that your flight may not happen in winter or on a Sabbath.

Just like Bart says, are we there yet?
Soon. Saints, be watchful and be faithful to the end.

2020.09.30 03:48 GladPen Mom, I have to go no contact with you.

Reasons for me to have done this so many years ago. You can be a really bad person. If I were to write this all down nobody would ever read it. I know that you stood by while my brother abused me, I don't know how much you knew what went down but you knew enough and you told me that because people with his condition often abuse their siblings that I shouldn't let it bother me. I can't even have sex with a man anymore. I shut down. For some reason that trauma has gotten worse and worse and I have to go to a therapist about it before I can be intimate with a man again. That's not why I'm going no contact with you. You surely remember finding my love poems to a girl. And you will remember that that you listened in to a phone conversation I had with the only lesbian I knew that's a teenager. The 90s were a different time. I have listened to you and Dad go off on many a rent since being brainwashed by Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, and oan. Lately you've become obsessed with picketing at Planned Parenthood. But you don't care about the hysterectomies at ice. You do care about the hysterectomies that are possibly happening in China. That's not why I'm going no contact with you. I'm not going no contact with you for the daily emotional abuse for your borderline traits. I think I have to go no contact with you because the other day you spoke to me and you still think I'm straight, and you said that lesbians are of the Devil. That they were created by the devil. That it was fine for single mothers to have children but lesbian should not have babies. And you said it with such hatred in your voice and you went on a tirade for 10 minutes. All because I talked about how I thought I could have a male caregiver because I felt fine with my transmasculine former caregiver. I can't be fine with a male caregiver because men abused me. And most of those men abused me because you told me that abuse was okay by letting it happen in the first place. That didn't make me bisexual. I didn't know what for many years but I had my first crushes on girls. I had thoughts about my best friend when I was 13. Pretty sure she had thoughts too. Over the years I have managed to quote" cock-block myself at almost every chance to be with the woman. I don't know if we are just friends or if there is a chance her more, but I met somebody. She is kind and she is sweet and she is genuine. We have a million things in common. We even have the same silly obscure degrees. She is so beautiful. I am taking it very slow because I don't know the protocol for dating a woman but I just know through the grapevine that the methods that most lesbians don't realize they are dating until they are already dating. And there is no rush because of the virus. Doesn't matter if we don't get together. The fact that I met somebody and she liked me. Do you really think that your devil created me? I'm not Catholic Iike you. But I still can't seem to allow myself to let go of the shame just for liking women. You know how they say choirs of Angels singing when you kiss somebody and you feel electricity. I never feel that way with the man. I like men. I don't consider myself gay. But I would like to see if I can have Angels sing again the next time I kiss somebody. Instead of feeling trauma. You probably never felt what I felt. You don't like Dad but you stayed with him for 45 years. Goody for you. All those times you took a suitcase and walked out the door and came back an hour later while I cried. All those times you brush my hair as a little girl and told me all the ways I should hate my father. Yes I know I needed to go no contact with you for years now. But you can be a really nice person too. So why can't you love me?
EDIT: I fixed the autocorrect mistakes that I could find but I don't have my glasses so there are probably some random words sprinkled in.

2020.09.18 07:06 CrystalxRose My Nightmares Came to Life In the Worst Way (pt 1)

At some point, I got tired of being lonely. That was my downfall, I suppose...the soul-crushing sense of alone-ness...that was what caused me to accept that first message from Sean. I mean, at least that was his name when I first met him. I don't believe he - it - has ever really had a name. I thought he was my Prince Charming; I guess I should have known fairy tales don't exist. Mm...I'm running out of time, it will be back any moment, so I should probably start from the beginning.
I was sitting on my balcony in my favorite chair, just sipping on my coffee and watching the world pass me by. It was a beautiful July evening; the sun shone brightly, the air was so still one could hear a leaf hit the ground, and the colors were pleasantly drenched in an extra bit of beauty. It was all so perfect, except for just one small thing.
From somewhere down the street, quick girlish laughter floated to me in the silence, followed by a lower masculine chuckle. I peered over the edge of my balcony to see a pretty girl strolling arm in arm with a handsome young man. He said something I didn't catch and she tossed her head flirtatiously, then slipped her fingers into his and squeezed lightly. They looked so happy and in love. I felt a lump forming in my throat, and suddenly I didn't feel like sitting on my balcony quite so much anymore.
I tried to busy myself in my kitchen with pouring another cup of coffee, but my hands were shaking. My vision blurred over as hot tears stung my eyes, and the cup slipped out of my hands and smashed on the floor. I whirled and slammed my palms on my counter. "God damn it," I whispered to myself, head hung low. "I'm so fucking tired of being lonely."
After a long moment, I sighed and knelt to clean up the mess. I had just mopped up the last of the spill when my phone chimed merrily, a tone I didn't recognize. I slid my thumb across my screen and saw a notification from this one popular dating site I joined, a message from someone named Sean. Curious, I opened the message.
Hey there, Leah. You're kind of cute! I like brunettes.
I raised an eyebrow, then clicked on his profile picture, and I swear I felt my heart drop to my toes. He was fucking gorgeous. Chocolate brown hair, electric blue eyes, and a smile that could stop time. He didn't have a pretty bad body either. Intrigued, I clicked back into the message and typed back to him.
Well, hi there, Sean. You aren't bad-looking yourself!
I was about to put my phone down, thinking it would be a while until he messaged me back, but to my extreme delight, my phone chimed again only seconds later. It was another message from Sean.
I live in Black Rock. Hbu?
I was elated. This incredibly gorgeous guy was right here in my hometown, and he was interested in me...ME!
Really? I do too!
I left it hanging, waiting to see if he would make the first move. He didn't disappoint. He messaged me back right away.
Great! Would you like to go out with me some time? I'd like to get to know you better.
I felt a goofy smile spread across my face as my thumbs clicked rapidfire across my screen.
Sounds good! What did you have in mind?
There's this great little coffee shop I like to go to down on Tulane. They have amazing lattes!
I know that place. I walk there sometimes. Love their mocha espresso!
Want to go, say, tomorrow evening around 5? I could come meet you on your street...or you could come to mine...?
How about the corner of Charleston and Limbaugh? That's like ten minutes from me. Unless that's too far for you?
No, that's perfect! So...see you tomorrow at 5 then?
You bet! Can't wait!
I put my phone down on the counter, goofy smile still plastered to my face. I had just agreed to meet a perfect stranger, and I was okay with that. I floated off to my bathroom to take a nice long relaxing bubble bath and mid-day-dream about my date tomorrow night with Sean.
I was in the midst of luxuriously stretching my legs out under the soapy water when I noticed it: a gigantic black spider sitting right on the edge of my fucking bathtub, just sitting there. Now, I have an absolutely paralyzing fear of spiders - I mean, who doesn't, right? Even though the water was still good and hot, I froze, statue-like, unwilling to even draw a breath in fear that even the slightest motion would trigger the ugly thing to crawl towards me. In seconds, my worst fear came to life.
I screamed as the nasty bastard scuttled right across the edge of the tub, directly towards where I was sitting. With a flexibility I didn't usually have otherwise, I leaped up and directly out of the tub in one fluid motion. My feet hit the slippery floor instead of the small rug, and my feet flew up in the air, and my head hit the floor, HARD. I was seeing stars. When the room stopped spinning, I stood up gingerly, groaning and holding my head as I fearfully scanned the bathtub for my attacker. To my horror, the water had already drained, and I swore the ugly thing looked at me before it crawled right down the fucking drain. Nope, nope, nope. I waited a few seconds to make sure it was really gone, then quickly stuffed my shirt down the drain.
Shuddering, I retired to my bedroom to browse on my laptop for a few hours in an effort to rid my thoughts of the eight-legged nightmare that had just violated the sanctuary of my own damn bathroom. Finally, after hours of funny YouTube videos, I was ready to go to sleep.
I wish I could say I slept easily. I know I woke up screaming at least once. I'm actually surprised my neighbors didn't call the cops. But then again, they knew about my nightmares; I'd only been living there for ten years or so. Luckily for me, they were sympathetic to my plight. It also helped that I was meticulous in my cleaning habits, so thankfully this didn't happen often, but when it did...I'll spare the gory details for those who might be arachnophobic, but I'll just state that when I finally did manage to fall asleep for an hour or two, I still felt the legs on me when I woke up. Better believe I checked every inch of my bed too.
Exhausted, I stumbled out to my kitchen, skin still crawling after my vicious nightmares. I made myself a cup of coffee and was just about to take a sip when my phone chimed. Suddenly excited, I snatched up my phone to see a message from Sean. Nightmares forgotten, I eagerly opened the message.
Good morning, beautiful! How was your night? Did you dream sweet dreams of our date later? I know I did!
I laughed a bit to myself. As sweet as that was, if only he knew.
I wish! I didn't get a whole lot of sleep. Bad nightmares. But I'll live, haha.
Nightmares? Poor Leah! If I'd have been there, you wouldn't have had any.
I laughed out loud at that even as I felt my cheeks flush with heat. Inspired, I typed back.
I have a feeling if you had been there, I wouldn't have gotten ANY sleep, lol.
He sent back a winky face and I felt my blush getting even deeper. Sure, I was probably moving too fast, but Sean was just so charismatic and charming. I don't know of any girls who wouldn't have done the same thing in my situation.
I can't wait for our date tonight!
Neither can I!
Well, I have a few errands to run, but I'll see you at 5!
See you later!
For the rest of the day, I was walking on air. I truly felt a strong connection with Sean even though I'd never even met him, and it seemed like he felt the same. Maybe they were right. Maybe true love over the internet WAS possible. I was so lost in my musings that when my clock chimed 4:00, I was startled. Giggling at myself for my silly reveries, I danced off to my bedroom to get ready for my date.
My room was soon strewn with clothes tossed here and there and everywhere as I dug through my closet for something suitable. At last I settled on a pair of black leggings and a cute red tank top. I threw on my sneakers and headed to my dresser to do my hair, but something caught my eye when I was less than a few steps away that caused me to freeze solid, one foot still in the air.
Another fat black spider sat in the shadow under my dresser, and I was sure I could feel its eyes on me. This one was bigger than the last one; I could see each one of its beady little black eyes gleaming from the light next to my bed. My heart stopped; I couldn't move, could only stare and pray that it just went away. But it wasn't to be so, because of course the damn thing came at me.
My paralysis broke as it closed on me and I let out a shriek that even split my own ears as I leaped back. I searched frantically for anything I could grab to smash the ugly thing and my eyes fell on my antique full-length mirror. Still shrieking, I ripped the mirror off its stand, raised it above my head and brought it down on the bastard with all my might. The glass didn't shatter so much as explode into shards, and I felt the enormous spider flatten under the weight of the mirror with a sickening crunch. It wasn't enough; I brought it down two more times just to be sure.
Panting, I dropped the mirror and stumbled back, exhausted. My arms ached, my throat was sore and my back was killing me, but at least that son of a bitch was dead. With a tiny part of me pleased at my victory, I ignored the mess and hurried to finish getting ready. No horrible spider was going to stop me from being excited over my date with Sean. How I wish I would have known that my nightmares were only beginning.

2020.09.18 07:01 CrystalxRose My Worse Nightmares Came to Life In the Worst Way

(Part 1)

2020.08.28 13:09 rightwingnews /u/St0000l on How Are You Guys Feeling About This USPS stuff?

As has already been noted in this thread by another user the USPS is already funded through the rest of this year. What you're talking about is additional funding and it's debatable whether they need it or not and whether they should get it or not even when you put partisan politics aside.Trump not supporting additional funding is not a sign of a nefarious plot
"In an interview on Fox Business Network, Trump explicitly noted two funding provisions that Democrats are seeking in a relief package that has stalled on Capitol Hill. Without the additional money, he said, the Postal Service won't have the resources to handle a flood of ballots from voters who are seeking to avoid polling places during the coronavirus pandemic."
Trump is working from the understanding that this funding is necessary for mail-in voting. Whether you want to debate with people if the post-office needs it or not, or if politicians want to debate that, this is what trump believes the post office needs, and what trump is saying they will not get. Again, along with everything else, this is showing signs of voter suppression.
When it comes down to it, trump believes that if everyone votes, he will lose. McConnell showed us earlier this year how he uses voter suppression, by targeting people who would vote against him. Also, remember that "pro-mask/covid is real" and "anti-mask/covid is a hoax" largely runs on party lines. Look, if I was a republican, I would bet that democrats won't want to subject themselves to going to a crowded, indoor voting location. If I can think of that, you don't think that strategic politicians wouldn't?
If you don't think trump has been part of politics before this, look into how politics works in this country. Politics serve big business, and rich people. Senators need to fundraise to pay their party fees (Thanks Rush Limbaugh)! Lobbyists use that need to push their agenda.
The issue isn't about absentee ballots but universal mail in ballots, the key difference being one you have to request and send valid information such as the reason for the request while the other is just sent (mailed ironically) to every voter on the voting rolls which as we know are often out of date. And that's before you consider voting fraud as the intent. Ha! When a dead cat gets sent a ballot I don't care if it's intentional or not it's obviously not as safe and secure of a system as in person voting.
I decided to lump these two together, because it's not like a dead cat is going to return that ballot. Okay, the post office sends you a ballot. As a citizen, the government knows enough about you through your signature, social security #, etc. the same info that is used for absentee ballots, which I think we all agree are safe.Think about it. If I just had 10 ballots, I couldn't just write in my friends names and addresses and vote for them. If you're worried that it's that easy, try it. Or try requesting an absentee ballot and see what's needed.
Or hey, guess what, the GOP has already tried to steal the mail-in vote in South Carolina. Check out how that went down! Imagine that, the republicans being the ones you have to worry about corrupting the mail-in voting process...
This is also happening in Gavin Newsom's California where I'm from. Are you accusing him of voter suppression?
I also live in California, and guess what, Newsom is all about mail-in voting. And early voting, check that out!
Because they can't. And honestly they probably haven't been able to for many years. [Referring to the USPS telling everyone they won't be able to handle all of these mail-in votes.]
Are we back here again? What is it that you said earlier in that post...oh yea..."What you're talking about is additional funding and it's debatable whether they need it or not and whether they should get it or not even when you put partisan politics aside." – ITSULTRAHARDCORE
Remember that funding the USPS requested that trump refuses to approve if it's to help mail-in voting? Things really on the level for you?
Just because no one knows why doesn't mean the reason is nefarious.
You are absolutely right. And just because workers usually know, doesn't mean they always know what the higher ups are thinking. I agree. Alone I would brush this off. But I'm seeing a lot of red flags over here.
You still on the same level?

2020.08.16 01:47 tgwrfts How come they never talk about celebrities that actually have been accused/convicted of abuse of minors?

Like the post says, it’s all celebrities that you’ve never heard these kinds of stories about before. How come they’ve never talked about people who are known abusers like Woody Allen, Roman Polanski, Spacey, Bryan Singer, etc? Even ones that have allegedly dated underage fans like Jimmy Page and Mick Jagger. They even think Jim Morrison is Rush Limbaugh and he was known to go after high schoolers. So like I said...you never hear a peep from these people about them except maybe Spacey, it’s all Hanks, Tiegen, etc. you’d think if they wanted people to believe them, they’d bring one of these people as being the leader of the pedo cult.

2020.08.15 20:04 rvsidekick6 I (24m) don’t know how to handle my all or nothing family anymore

This’ll be long, but I need to talk about it somehow.
I grew up in a very conservative/“Christian” household. My parents homeschooled my sister and I, and we did Bible studies every day before learning from various age-appropriate textbooks. My sister is older than me by 2 years, so she always felt threatened/challenged by my ability to do the same schoolwork she could do, faster. However, we were never allowed to fight or be angry - “you will be all each other has in the world when we’re your father and I are gone. Don’t fight.”. My parents were miserable about money - mom stayed home, so dad would always get angry at her for spending it all on grocery& shopping trips. Spoiler: they lived in a paid off 3000 sq ft house w/ pool.
Reaching early high school, we stopped the daily Bible studies and at home studies. We joined a co-op of other families, and we created a quasi-private school situation. We studied philosophy, Latin, chemistry, physics, literature, and religion. My sister and I also started dual enrollment classes at a community college.
Towards 2015/2016, I applied and was accepted at a university for an engineering degree. My parents (mostly dad) increased his time listening to radio shows from Limbaugh and others, and reading websites like Breitbart(?), and getting upset about news events. My dad took me disagreeing with the logic of his opinion as a challenge - he threatened to kick me out or take me outside to settle it like real men if I didn’t respect him. My mom just said I should shush and agree. My sister didn’t care to intervene either. I ended up agreeing at the time that a conservative vote was probably best if they were a little bit right about anything, so I voted that way.
I left for school. My dad tried to connect with me while traveling for work, and I tried to oblige. We never talked about anything serious, and if we did, I just agreed with him because he always reminded me that he was helping with rent money. Always. “It’s so hard paying off this medical and mortgage debt with supporting you in school. Don’t mess up and fail out!” Mom said I should just be a good Christian and live by their rules, and my sister didn’t speak with me much. I was visited 2 times by my family, ever, in three years. I traveled home for the holidays. Around my second year dad started railing on about liberal schools brainwashing college kids, attempting to pick a fight with me (that’s what it felt like). I told him that we never discussed politics in class, and that my friends and peers were generally polite and quiet about it too. He kind of got the hint and we stopped communicating about anything regularly. Mom would reach out and ask about my grades and remind me that she worked hard for the money she and dad were helping me with.
Anyway, I graduated, and got a job at a really prestigious government entity in Cape Canaveral, Fl (yeah that one). I am scholastically accomplished, and my career is looking excellent. I have friends I speak with regularly, a beautiful fiancée I’m proud to be with, and $20k in student loan debt. My parents attempted to tell me how great the Trump admin was for my industry & organization, and how they’d only started developing new stuff since 2016. I corrected that misunderstanding, politely, indicating that the mission start dates and budget releases indicated a much earlier start time for the program I’m a part of - 2013! They also would text me articles and whatnot about how COVID-19 was nothing to worry about, or that the protestors deserved what they got for being violent rioters. I asked them to stop that, as well as to consider what their political views meant for their family member that didn’t fit in - after all, what do they think of me? I attended those protests (non-violent). My fiancée is in the healthcare industry and scared of covid.... could they please be respectful of their son and refrain from being inflammatory? They told me it was just politics, and that I should not have been brainwashed at a liberal college, else I’d still be a good Christian conservative (gist of it from my dad but mom weighed in too).
At this point, I stopped communicating with my dad at all. My mother attempted to stay connected with me, but kept piping up about how she didn’t understand how people could support abortion - all the stuff she saw and disagreed with in the world didn’t matter, she said, because at least she wasn’t voting for baby-killing democrats. I asked her to please consider another viewpoint about that too, because I myself see validity in the idea that government entities should not have a say in a person’s autonomy. She stopped texting me for a while - then took to texting my fiancée and I together in a group text to get “updates” on my well being. She’d say things like “people talk about you both being so successful - I just tell them that you were raised right”. This made my fiancée uncomfortable, so I asked my mother to please stop texting us both to manipulate a response from me; if she wanted to ask about my well being, then please do so. Otherwise, don’t mix my fiancée into this, because she doesn’t deserve to be stressed out about our family dynamic. She asked if we then weren’t speaking at all - I responded with “no, we are speaking. I’m just asking you to talk to us separately. That’s all. Goodnight”.
Well. That apparently wasn’t the right thing to say....
My sister has since taken to calling and texting me every day to let me know how much of a mean asshole prick I am to our mother. She also has taken to calling me a baby-killing liberal idiot, who doesn’t care about his family, and is emotionally abusive to all of them. She also sent me videos of herself at a trump celebration, without masks, saying “At a trump rally, asshole! MAGA!” She also took to making fun of my bisexuality (mistake coming out to her that I’ll regret forever).
At this point, I’ve stopped responding or answering for a week now. I don’t know what to do - I care about my family and want at least a cordial relationship, but it just feels like I either agree with them totally or I’m not welcome. I’m numb at this point. Thanks for reading.

2020.08.14 15:04 Darth_Kahuna Why do conservatives only care about states rights & national debt when Democrats are in power?

It seems obvious to me SCOTUS chief Roberts is voting to maximize states rights to handle voting in the pandemic, empowering Alabama to maintain its law on witness verification for absentee voting while allow Rhode island to nullify there's. Yet I heard Limbaugh, Levin & others decrying Roberts as a 'Benedict Arnold.' also, conservatives formed the TEA Party to fight against spending during the '08 recession specifically blaming the Obama administration for ballooning the national debt. During this pandemic caused economic down turn the few who have dated question the Trump admin have been deemed "never Trumpers" & summarily dismissed by conservatives. It seems to me modern conservatives only care about states rights & national debt when Democrats are in power & when/if they do come into power again I will not care one iota about there complaints as I did in years past. It's blatant hypocrisy.

I would like to read a good, up-to-date biography on Rush Limbaugh. In particular I want to know what his personality is like, where he absorbs his political beliefs from, and where he gets his money from. Recommendations?

2020.06.06 01:19 yetisa I (39F) have been friends with someone (39F) for 37 years. Over the last year she has become an anti-vax / Covid-conspiracy-theorist / all-lives-matter-spouting jackass. It is exhausting to be around her now, but is this is worth giving up a lifetime of friendship?

I have been friends with this girl as long as I can remember. Our parents were friends first and introduced us as toddlers. She was like a sister to me growing up. There were times in my life when I had no friends at all at school, but I always had her. Looking back, she was a part of every major event in my life. We learned to drive a car together, she was my maid of honor, she was on the double date with me where I met my husband, she was there when I gave birth to my child.
About a year and a half ago, her 1 year old (at the time) daughter was diagnosed with epilepsy. It was a scary time, but with good doctors and good medicine, they were able to get her seizures under control, and it’s been a year since her daughter’s last seizure. Of course this was a devastating thing for my friend to go through, and in her search for something to blame, she fell down the anti-vax rabbit hole. As a medical laboratory scientist, I strongly disagreed with her newfound opinions on vaccines, and we had some heated debates, but ultimately she’s just as stubborn as I am, and we had to agree to stop talking about it. Then Covid-19 happened, and as I’m working my ass off in the lab running PCR and serum tests for this new virus, she’s spouting off about how it’s all a big conspiracy theory, and it isn’t as bad as the “mainstream media” are claiming, using quotes from fucking Rush Limbaugh and such to back up her claims. I gave her the raw data on the numbers, unfiltered through any media organization (mainstream or otherwise) and it wasn’t enough to change her mind. Because it was her new anti-vax friends who were feeding her this bullshit - telling her this was something the government had created to force people to be vaccinated - and if they were wrong about that, what else could they be wrong about? She couldn’t let herself go down that mental path. She had too much emotionally invested in the idea that her daughter’s epilepsy was caused by vaccines. And now here we are at a crossroads in history once more, and what is her response to me marching in a protest holding a “Black Lives Matter” sign? To tell me that “all lives matter,” and that “those looters at Target sure didn’t look very sad about George Floyd.”
I’m pissed. I’m really emotionally worked up over this. A part of me wants to just cut this girl out of my life and walk away. I know she’s been misled, I know this isn’t the girl I used to know. I’ve tried reasoning with her, I’ve tried recommending books for her to read, I’ve tried sharing expert sources. But nothing I say makes a difference. If anything, it makes her dig her heels in harder and be even more willfully ignorant. We’re both in grad school, and she uses that as an excuse, saying she doesn’t have time to look at any of the resources I offer her, but she seems to have plenty of time to come up with more horseshit information from her conspiracy theorist friends. I honestly just don’t know what to do. Please help.

2020.06.05 23:35 mhandanna "Boys are the primary victims of all forms of child abuse, with mothers being their primary abusers. This fact is ignored by the mental health field, legislators and political groups." Laurie A Couture, Mental Health Counseller Great Thread Worth A Read

So this is a great article:
A Tipping Point: We've Finally Noticed Boys' Struggles
https://www.psychologytoday.com/gb/blog/real-men-dont-write-blogs/201503/tipping-point-weve-finally-noticed-boys-struggles
What I am posting here is two great comments, defineely worth a read. The second is by Karen Straughan, as always a fantastic voice of reason against feminism.

I'm appalled, as a licensed mental health counselor, child trauma specialist and mother of a son by your statement, "Maybe boys haven't been the victims of laws and obvious -isms, but, as a group, they have been the victims of, at very least, neglect, and they need help from across the political spectrum.” Boys suffer sexism and legalized abuse everyday with no political outcry:
It is legal for boys to be held down, their penises forcibly handled and their foreskin completely flayed from their glans, causing severe physical suffering and emotional distress, for no medical purpose.
Although empirical studies have shown that boys make up more than half of sexual assault victims and victims of dating violence, they are the neglected and overlooked victims of abuse, especially abuse by girls and women- Abuse of boys is ignored or minimized.
Boys are the primary victims of all forms of child abuse, with mothers being their primary abusers. This fact is ignored by the mental health field, legislators and political groups.
Boys are the primary victims of suicide, but this fact is often minimized and buried.5.At 18, boys are forced to register for the military, regardless of their beliefs about violence and war.
It is also well known that most boys are kinesthetic learners and need to move in order to learn, yet schools refuse to accommodate the needs of children, especially boys. Instead, there is an epidemic of pathologizing boyhood and chemically controlling boys.
Boys are stereotyped as dangerous predators and in the fields of mental health and juvenile justice, they are not treated with the same compassion, empathy and understanding as girls.
All over our culture, in the media and in day-to-day society, boys get the message that they are stupid, bad, dangerous and not allowed to be nurtured, comforted, sad, championed, loved, or cared about.
If you don't believe these and the many other abuses of boys to be evidence of "victims of laws and obvious -isms", then perhaps you should liberate yourself from political sides and take an honest look at the suffering of our boys.

And the reply by the amazing Karen Straughan:
Hi Laurie, I've enjoyed some of your vlogs on YouTube, and can't thank you enough for the passion and compassion you've demonstrated regarding these issues.
I find it strange that someone as sensible and centrist (on gender issues, at least) as Christina Hoff Sommers could be described as "polarizing"--though I suppose when all gender issues are considered to lie under the rubric of a group that is actually, genuinely polarizing, being a centrist might seem "extreme".
I have been very outspoken about genital mutilation, and it seems to me that the feminist take on my advocacy is that by opposing male genital mutilation, I am somehow asserting that FGM isn't horrific or wrong. When I say that you can find "studies" coming out of Yemen and other countries where FGM is practiced that "prove" FGM has all the same benefits as the studies we have used to justify MGM, and that these cultures defend the practice using the exact same bogus reasoning as we do to defend MGM in the West, I get accused by feminists of promoting FGM!
It's astounding that this bizarre reaction to someone saying "both are wrong, there is no excuse for either" is not seen as polarizing, or zero sum thinking. It's astounding to me that my centrist and equalist position on it is considered "extreme" by the ideological group that has a stranglehold on gender issues.
And it's astounding to me how so few on the left, at least in positions of power, are willing to take some responsibility for correcting a situation they helped create through their blind support and enabling of "equality advocates" who have, for the most part, never promoted actual equality.
The very same historical prejudices regarding women--that they are kind, nurturing, and have good intentions--bamboozled the left into swallowing their gigantic gendered threat narrative whole, and attempts on the part of the right to correct this have been too regressive and sloppy to do any good. People like Hoff Sommers are too easily painted with the same brush as Limbaugh--"don't listen, they're dangerous, anyone who speaks against the excesses of feminism wants women back in the kitchen!"
This is, perhaps, the first time in global history where society is willing to tolerate pervasive public and even institutionalized speech about *their own men* that is disturbingly similar to the way Nazis talked about Jewish men in the 1930s, or the way Hutus talked about Tustsi men, or the way the KKK talked about black men. That this author wants to help boys is admirable. That he is somehow oblivious to the parallels between what feminism says, and has said for 150 years, about all men, and what the KKK historically said about black men, is disappointing.
Anyway, I've been rambling, but again, I was delighted to find you here, valiantly continuing to push that boulder up the hillside, and I couldn't help but respond to your comment with a heartfelt thank you for all you do, and some commiseration from a fellow soldier.

2020.06.01 16:13 RECIPR0C1TY The War for Conservatism

A hidden philosophical war has been brewing among conservatives for decades now. It became more apparent when Donald Trump won the nomination of the Republican Party for the Presidency, and it is now becoming clear which side has won. This is a war which dates back to well before our constitution was written and has been repeated throughout history with one side or the other gaining an advantage. First we have to identify the two sides, and then we have to point out why this is important. I don’t have good names for them, so I will call them “Traditionalists vs Classical Liberals”. You can dispute the accuracy of those names later, but I think it gets the idea across.
Traditionalists are opposed to change. They are nationalists (not necessarily a racist form). They are extremely religious and want that religion to be a part of their government. Among many other identifying factors, the most important is that they are opposed to “leftist ideologies”. This opposition is defining the Traditionalists like it never has before. This is important because Traditionalists don’t realize how much their opposition to “leftism” (I am being intentionally vague about that) is defining them. More on that later. It is important to point out these qualities because they are definitional. They separate Traditionalists from everyone else on the political spectrum. Traditionalists have many other beliefs, like the universal rights of all people, equality for everyone, the rights to free speech and protest and the freedom of the press among many others. But it is important to point out that those beliefs do not define them. I am sure many traditionalists will argue that fact, but it is very true and the entire point of this post.
Classical Liberals, within the conservative party, have many of the same features of Traditionalists, with the massive distinction that those features don’t define them. Classical Liberals are also opposed to change, but more in the sense that they are very slow to change. They don’t oppose change for change sake. Many of them, certainly not all or even a majority, are religious, but they maintain a far more strict separation of Church and State. They clearly oppose “leftism”, but they are not defined by that opposition. Again more on this later. What defines Classical Liberals within the conservative party is a dedication to the universal negative rights of everyone. A dedication to the rights of free speech, freedom of the press, 2nd amendment rights and many more. They view these rights as principles that cannot be violated. The constitution serves as their political bible, they will not deviate from it.
Most conservatives reading this think that they are in both camps, but you are wrong. In the past those lines were blurred. They were confused. They were confused because of the shared interest in each. The difference is in the emphasis on each of these ideas. For Traditionalists, they are defined by some ideas, and believe in others. While for classical liberals in conservatism, they are defined by the ideas that Traditionalists merely believe in, and they simply believe in the ideas that Traditionalists define themselves by. In today’s current political climate the lines are being clearly drawn, and they are being drawn by one man. President Donald Trump does not have the historical or philosophical chops to intentionally draw these lines, but he is doing so nonetheless. Traditionalists make up the vast support of Trump’s base (if not all of it) mostly on the basis of their desire to oppose “the left”. If you support President Donald Trump, you are almost definitely a Traditionalist. You may think you are a classical liberal, but you are not.
The reason you may think you are a classical liberal is because leaders of the conservative movement have blurred these lines. Men like Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Ted Cruz, Mark Levin, Ben Sasse, and Jeff Sessions have preached about our Founding Fathers and First principles. They have defended our bill of rights and proclaimed themselves to be Constitutionalists. Because they were. They absolutely believe in those things as essential to their political identity. I know because I listened to them. I also believe in those ideals. They, among many others, taught me conservatism. I attended Limbaugh’s School of Conservative Studies. I listened to Beck attack Obama for increasing the power of the Executive and fight against universal healthcare. I watched Ted Cruz fight in congress to protect our borders. I was there, and I supported it.
But then something strange happened. Donald Trump announced his candidacy for the Presidency with the Republican party. I watched all those people shrug him off. Then I watched them start to panic and despair when Trump won. Then I watched something even stranger. They did an about face and reluctantly supported him because Hillary Clinton absolutely could not win. That reluctant support slowly turned into a half-hearted defense of the really stupid stuff being thrown at him (and I know there was some really stupid stuff), but the half-hearted defense was because “the left” couldn’t win. Then it became full-throated support to the point where it defines them. Traditionalists cannot let “the left” win. This is so essential to their political beliefs that it defines them beyond their beliefs in our universal negative rights and our constitution.
That definition of Traditionalists is what draws the battle lines in this war for Conservatism. It has taken me a while to get here, but it is the point of this post. If you are reading this and you support Donald Trump, you are sacrificing the basic principles of universal negative rights, separation of powers, federalism of the states, moral standards, and basic competence so that you can beat Joe Biden and “the left”. I cannot begin to describe how many of you I have talked to, and how many of you I have read that refuse to allow the pesky ideals of principles to get in your way in your opposition to “the left”.
If you haven’t guessed yet, I am a conservative classical liberal. I utterly oppose Donald Trump and his trampling of our constitution. I oppose his ineptitude with the powers he has been given and his attempt to secure powers he has not been given. I oppose his rejection of conservative principles, his intentional division of our nation, and his immoral ethical standards. This isn’t just because he doesn’t say nice things on twitter. This isn’t just a matter of saying one thing but doing another. He is accepting money from foreign diplomats in a knowledgeable and direct rejection of our constitution. He directed his staff to refuse a legal subpoena after a legal vote in the house to begin an impeachment inquiry on the unconstitutional stance of “absolute immunity". He has stopped international funds that were designated by congress and signed into law by the executive while ignoring the legally defined process by which to do so, so that he could hurt his primary political opponent. He has instituted a restriction of free speech under the guise of “fairness”. He has increased the division of this nation by taunting his political opponents, fomenting hatred, and provoking partisanship at every opportune moment. The list goes on.
I realize that many conservatives reading this will deny those obvious facts, but humor me for 30 seconds. If you support Trump do me a favor and entertain the idea that those facts are true for 30 seconds. That is all I ask. Just think about it for 30 seconds. It will stop a lot of needless debate. Because even if those things are true, you will still support him. Even if we spend the next few days debating the veracity of those facts, you will come back to the simple fact that you cannot let Joe Biden win in November. You will say, “the left” has ignored those principles too, why shouldn’t we play by their rules? You will say the agenda to take our guns, make abortion the law of the land, and the fundamental transformation towards socialist goals is something that absolutely cannot happen. You will say “the left cannot win”. And that will make you a Traditionalist. You are willing to abandon principle so that the left cannot win. That is the War. I know I cannot convince you to switch sides. I just want you to know which side you are actually on. I want you to know where the line is. Because you are not just fighting “the left” you are fighting against principle. You are fighting against our constitution, our Democratic Republic and against our values. You are on the wrong side of this war and you are winning the War for Conservatism, but you are losing the War for our Nation. But that is another long post.

2020.04.21 19:40 steauengeglase On "ChiComs"

It kinda bugged me in an earlier episode when Dan said that "ChiCom" was Alex Jones' word, since I'm annoyingly pedantic and I could remember hearing Rush Limbaugh say it back in the 90s. I'm not sure Dan really meant it in that context, it was just how I interpreted it at the moment, so my curiosity got the better of me and I wasted 30 minutes on the internet.
According to William Safire, in a New York Times Magazine article (from May 4, 1986) on the use of the term "surgical strike", he mentioned that Stewart Alsop while writing for The Saturday Evening Post used the term "ChiCom" in his writing, while talking about "the nuclear sterilization of Chicoms." Sadly, I don't have a date for that. Of course it goes back further, Nixon seemed fond of the term, using it when speaking to his Ambassador to the Republic of China back in 1971. Also the term seems to shown up in State Dept writing from the 60s (I'm only going with the historian's glossary, so please don't hold me to this claim --it could just be the State Dept referencing the CIA or the military).
The term even showed up in the Warren Commission's evidence* (do I get bonus points for linking it to the Kennedy Assassination?), when a copy of a magazine called, The Militant was introduced into evidence (contrary to what you might be assuming, The Militant was, and still is, a New York based Trotskyists publication, not something that is John Birch adjacent). What did it say? I dunno, since I'm having trouble digging through the PDF. Anyway, the term "ChiCom" mostly shows up in CIA writing in the early 60s.
Ok, so where did it show up before that? The earliest case I've found (and I'm sure it goes back a lot further) is from a telegram from Admiral Felix Stump from July 23, 1953** where he mentions both "ChiComs" and "ChiNats". Why? Because they needed a term to differentiate between the Republic of China ("ChiNats") and the People's Republic of China ("ChiComs").
So where did the term come from? Not sure, but I'd bet on it came from some "policy wonk" somewhere.
*Hearings before the President's Commission on the Assassination of President Kennedy, Volume XXII
**Foreign Relations of the United States, 1952–1954, China and Japan, Volume XIV, Part 1
[Sorry, I don't have real links here. Both were found on Google Books and I closed my text editor too soon.]
File this under useless "Chimera Insertion Points".

Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were charged in 1951 and found guilty of conspiracy to commit espionage (not treason). They both were executed via the electric chair in 1953 at the infamous Sing Sing Prison.

2020.03.04 08:02 frantzianleader 8 months remain until election day. Here is why Trump MUST lose.

Ladies and gentlemen, it is March 4, and 231 years ago today, our constitution officially went into effect. In about 8 months, Americans will be voting in the election. It still seems as though Former Vice President Joseph Biden is the Democrats’ best bet at defeating Trump. Today, I have a list of things that Trump has said and done to discredit him as President of these United States, and I want to be able to convince everyone, if not just anyone from the Far Left to the Moderate Right, and all in between, to support a Biden victory in the election this November.
First and foremost, the detention centers. Even holocaust survivors have compared these to Nazi concentration camps; the only things missing are the forced labour and experimenting, as well, to an extent, the torture and ruthless killing. They’re overcrowded and disgusting. Kids are not only being separated from their parents, but they are forced into cold cells with up to 100 other migrants, some even having to stay outside because the facilities are so overcrowded. The children are being denied tooth brushes, showers, beds, a changing of clothes, phone calls, sometimes the basic need to feed themselves (both food and hydration wise), and the closest thing they have to blankets are sheets of Aluminium foil. Some kids are even getting sick, some to the point that they can’t even eat when actually given food. Even still, the food is low quality, and the “water” is almost pure Chlorine. There are allegations of sexual abuse of the prisoners (I thought HISPANICS were supposed to be the rapists), as if them crossing illegally wasn’t already negated by the conditions they are put in, simply for SEEKING ASYLUM in the land of opportunity. The kids are being held for well over the maximum custody period of 72 hours, some being detained as long as 11 days. This a brutal piece of legislation that Trump is depraved enough to finally take advantage of to such rampant levels. He has done far worse than build a wall, or deport the immigrants. What’s more is that he has had critics of his immigration policies ARRESTED against the grain of the first amendment, guaranteeing freedom of speech. However, his supporters’ hypocrisy went on full display, as they did not condemn this, as it happened to a person with a more Liberal view on the issue, but when The_D****d (censored so I don’t get banned from EnoughTrumpSpam, hopefully) was quarantined in June of last year, THEN they began protesting that free speech was being suppressed BY LIBERALS through SOCIAL MEDIA, and not in the real world, where rules that websites impose have NO jurisdiction.
The second most concerning thing about his presidency is that he was acquitted on his impeachment charges; Abuse of power and obstruction of congress. You talk about the most unfair impeachment in American history? This is the most unfair ACQUITTAL. Let’s be honest, it’s that blind loyalty that Republicans are associated with; I mean at least Mitt Romney, Obama’s opponent in 2012, sided with the Democrats. Aside from that, Senate Republicans voted AGAINST hearing what witnesses have to say. You can’t get any closer to plugging your ears and yelling “LA LA LA LA I CAN’T HEAR YOU!”, because this is exactly what the Senate looks like. Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is either smitten with Trump’s disgusting abuse of position, or doesn’t want to believe Trump is as bad as the rest of the country says he is. The senate is run by radicals that would be all over having witnesses testify if Trump were a Democrat, but will blatantly break their oath just to keep a Republican president safe from conviction. This was the most ridiculous trial, and an absolute sham, and a disgrace to our democracy. A miscarriage of justice. I don’t know what Nancy Pelosi was thinking when handing in the articles of impeachment to the Senate. Pelosi wanted to ensure a fair trial, and nothing short of it before sending in the articles. Either she failed the democracy she fought to keep, or somewhere in there, the Senate Republicans lied to her. What’s even more grotesque about this acquittal is the fact that Trump was able to get away with mocking the national anthem on Superbowl night, a night where you’d have to be a complete and utter fool to assume no one was watching you, as President Of The United States. You’d also have to be a complete and utter fool to think, after his actions on Superbowl night, that Trump has learned his lesson from impeachment. It WILL happen again, whether it takes a week, a month, 9 months, or (and please don’t jinx it) 5 more years with him in office. He will be the first President to face 2 impeachments. The Senate is beyond saving, but hopefully this serves as a signal to the vast majority of American voters that the Republicans are a corrupt party.
In other violations of the First Amendment, Mitch McConnell had protestors rallying for him to defend the constitution over the President arrested. He’s made it clear that he wants removal of Trump from office via impeachment to be as difficult as possible as long as he is the majority leader. Although what we don’t know is if the protestors had permits. So it’s rather an allegation that Mitch McConnell is also 100% for desecration of the constitution, as long as it benefits the Republican party.
We’ve also heard Trump promise that he will LEGALLY enforce prayer as part of school routine. Um, no. There are already Christian schools designated for that purpose. There is church, and “Sunday school” programs. From an Agnostic standpoint, it is with my utmost confidence that prayer and religion becoming a component of the schools that do not (currently) sponsor religion is not necessary, and that if Christian families are adamant enough that their children follow the teachings of Christ, they would be signed up for Christian schools, Sunday school sessions, and would religiously (no pun intended) attend church every Sunday. And besides that, Trump’s promise is pushing a fine line, being that the founding fathers wanted to separate state and church. I’m really just calling out this statement as a bluff, I wouldn’t expect this to actually be enacted. I think Trump is just trying to lure back the rogue enlightened evangelicals that are picking up on his lack of morals, and are subsequently calling for his removal. And besides, I find it super ironic that I see Trump supporters roaming around the store I work at while church is IN SESSION. You people are NOT real Christians, you are closet Autocrats that use a widespread institution as a means of justifying your insane policies, and even that you fabricate an delude to some extent.
Not necessarily a Trump issue, but states across the country had women living in fear because of the strict abortion laws that were almost implemented tlast year, proposing to restrict the time window to just 6 weeks, with the exception of Alabama, which apparently tried to outlaw the procedure completely. These states tried to restrict abortions, even for exceptions of rape, incest, and the mother’s health. Founding father Thomas Jefferson has been quoted, 2 of his quotes I’d like to bring up; the first of which being “When the government fears the people, there is liberty; when the people fear the government, there is tyranny.”; The second of which being “Rebellion to tyranny is obedience to god.”. Jefferson was also a believer in science, which has agreed that 24-28 weeks, also known as viability, is the ideal legal time window for abortions, if there should be a legal window in the first place. Women were already being sentenced to life when they were first signed into law, while Georgia had (apparently) considered the death penalty. It’s as if getting an abortion is the modern equivalent to practicing witchcraft; it’s a witch hunt! But on a good note, it seems as if these laws were dropped towards the end of the year.
Same goes for the states that have apparently been trying to ban labelling vegan products as “vegan products”. Because apparently, a specific diet is now offending Republicans, especially those with the power to enact this stuff. Yet we’re the crybabies.
Any and all rape accusations against Trump should’ve been taken as seriously as they were when it was Bill Clinton being accused. Clinton was impeached over it, Trump, however, wasn’t, until his abuse of power and obstruction of congress forced Nancy Pelosi’s hand. But let’s not forget his case in 2016 before the election, his accusations by E. Jean Carroll (who even offers evidence), and the Epstein case in July last year, where he was said to have been involved. There is no excuse for voting for a sex offender, a rapist, a pedophile, other than Republican elitism. Biden may be a creep, but he’s done nothing nearly as bad as Trump has, in regards to sexual violence/unsolicited romantic gestures.
Unless the majority of his supporters are boomers who have no interest or regard to the things Trump says on the internet, or are ignorant to the internet in general, it should also be massively noted that Trump has praised the Chinese Communist dictatorship for abolishing term limits for their head of state. This allowed Xi Jinping to rule for life, the man who is imprisoning innocent ETHNIC Uyghurs, as well as other Muslims, in Xinjiang/East Turkestan, and throwing them in concentration camps WORSE than that of which underage Hispanic immigrants are being held in at our southern border. He has also attacked free speech by describing the grounds of “dangerous speech”; writing bad about something that is good. Surely, he thinks he and his supporters are the good guys, and thinks “fake” news, Liberals, and other CRITICS are the bad guys. He has become the second Republican, at least in politics and that I know of, to attack free speech, after Rush Limbaugh. Many of his supporters, especially those over on The_D****d (and others), have suggested making him KING of The United States, while some of his allies have already PUBLICLY, ONE THE NEWS, accused the Democrats of regicide. This is most certainly beyond Conservatism; it is full bore Monarchism (intermediate right wing). This is what we expelled from our land during the Revolution. We wanted a President whose power was kept in check, not a tyrannical monarch with unlimited authority. Trump has gone from the worst President since Andrew Jackson, to the worst supreme head of state ruling over America since King George III.
The claim about his supporters having no interest or regard in the internet is actually (somewhat) verified by his supporters taking after him, and dismissing Trump saying that he could shoot and kill anyone and not lose ANY support, as fake news. So suppose he actually does it, with video evidence going viral. Is it still fake news? Does he have to actually be sentenced? Even if he is miraculously found innocent, is he not a terrible person? Trump SUPPORTERS have crossed the line between undying loyalty and blind obedience. Something tells me that that Republican elitism is, in fact, there, and people WILL vote for Trump, despite not only his rape accusations, but this entire list of things he HAS said and done.
He seems to lack knowledge as to how to use social media. Something tells me that Trump never used a computer before 2010, and if he did, he still hasn’t fully learned how. He is easily fooled by phony Reagan quotes, and has tagged a retired teacher who actually hates him, thinking [the teacher] was cartoon character Alfred E. Neuman, simply because his username was @AlfredENeuman99, on Twitter. If he is unable to adapt to this modern world, then god knows what Kim Jong-Un and the others are pulling.
I don’t know how big of a deal global warming was when he was in high school (1959-1964), but I distinctly remember global warming being brought up in my science classes from middle school to high school (2013-2019). So for him to dismiss it as a Chinese hoax shows that he is not only unwilling to make sacrifices to slow down or even halt greenhouse gas effects that are inching closer to the point of no return, but this also shows that he is very ill-informed. For the life of me, I cannot wrap my head around the conclusion that the Chinese are responsible for any global warming myths, or why/how they would come up with them, or how they would benefit. And that is, by bringing that up in the modern day, to ruin American business, instead of way back, so as to make part of their mythology. They certainly don’t believe in it, because if they did, the Brown cloud wouldn’t be a problem, or they’d at least be scrambling to fix it.
In continuation with the previous point, I find it absolutely hilarious that Trump is throwing a fit over not being named Time’s Person Of The Year for 2019, but rather Greta Thunberg. He was so upset that he had his team photoshop his face onto Greta’s body, which by the way, was a complete failure. He looks smaller than he actually his, and I mean in regards to both weight and height. He looks shorter, he looks way thinner than he actually is in that photoshop, and I feel like they rushed this out just to one-up Greta Thunberg. Donald Trump, you were impeached for abuse of power and obstruction of congress. You blatantly asked foreign governments to investigate the Bidens and interfere with this year’s election. Greta Thunberg, meanwhile, is raising awareness to the issue of global warming, which is something that you, and every ignorant Republican elitist like you doesn’t believe in. Greta Thunberg has even cut school just to contribute to this good cause; HOPEFULLY doing her school work from abroad, might I add. You have kids in concentration camps, you have your goons across the country striking fear in women who see abortion as an acceptable option, you are an accused rapist, you’re a racist who uses the “Pocahontas” Native American slur, and you’re claiming you could shoot someone and not lose support. Who did you think was going to win Person Of The Year? Are you really surprised? Harassing her on Twitter isn’t helping your case much either. The fact that you have to bully people online shows that you are not a real man. You are not fit for the office of President Of The United States Of America. I would trust that 16 year old woman over a 73 year old BOY like you, with the office.
His other intellectual shortcomings include believing the planet Mars is part of our Moon, thinking the kidneys are part of the heart, writing fractions backwards, thinking the Kurds didn’t fight on the side of the allies during WW2 (they did, as “Iraqi Levies”), thinking Napoleon Bonaparte is still alive, wanting to build a wall over Colorado, because, why, south of the state, there’s a another state with “Mexico” in its name? Believing the Kansas City Chiefs Football team is a Kansas team, where as the team resides in Missouri, and believing there were airports (and thus, aircrafts) during the Revolution.
He also has an issue with spelling and grammar. I’m not just saying this as a grammar elitist, I’m saying this as a person who questions Donald Trump’s overall legitimacy; this is just icing on the cake. He needs to take a break from the internet when he gets to the point that he’s typing so erratically that he’s inventing words such as “covfefe” and “hamberders”. You really have to wonder if it’s actually him, and not just a robot malfunctioning, overworking itself posting negative tweets, accusing the New York Times of pushing fake news.
His other spelling fails include “Alcaida” (Al-Qaeda), “peopel” (people (although it was probably more of a typo than a deliberate misspelling)), and moot (moat). What’s more is that he is trying to convince *people that he is actually a good speller. The “thousands if inocent civilians” error; The “if” part, I can allow to slide, since I make that mistake often myself, and it’s so annoying. It’s because the “I” and the “O” are close together on American keyboards.
Where him and other Conservatives would go on about Obama doing nothing but vacationing in Hawaii, Trump spent more money in just his first 100 days, vacationing at Mar-A-Lago, than Obama did in all of his 8 years as President. And guess who’s paying for the Mar-A-Lago trips? Not the billionaire President, but taxpayers. Taxpayers, the poor, the rich, the Liberals, the Conservatives, all of us are paying for his parties, his women, his Soleimani death celebration, pretty much coordinating attacks from the golf resort. But Obama is bad just for visiting Hawaii.
He has also violated Native American land rights. Where construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline was halted under the Obama administration, Trump continued it, with no regard for possible oil spills on the sacred land of the Standing Rock reservation. Imperialist American police forces are also responsible for harm done to Native American people protesting the construction of the pipeline, by spraying them with water in freezing cold temperatures. The completion of this pipeline not only brings up controversy around the violation of Native American land rights, the damaging of Native American sacred land, and the civil and human rights of Native Americans, but also environmental issues.
Yes, Trump and his administration are built on racism. And believe me, there’s more to it than that ridiculous wall, or the travel ban. which are stupid in their own right. As a matter of fact, I could argue against those 2 without even bringing up race. But Trump’s racist tendencies do not spare Native Americans nor African Americans. The President is completely fine with using the “Pocahontas” racial slur, as he used it in reference to Elizabeth Warren, who has revealed that she is 1/64 Native. He has also told representatives Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ayanna Pressley, and Rashida Tlaib, all four of which who form what is known as “The Squad”, to go back to “their” terrible countries and improve them. What he did not know, however, is that 3 of which, except for Ilhan Omar (from Somalia) were born in The United States. Ilhan Omar has been a citizen for 20 years, which, funny enough, is longer than (Slovenian) Melania Trump’s citizenship status (14 years). Cortez’ grandparents were Puerto Rican. Pressley, if I had to guess, like most African Americans, had ancestors who ended up here as a result of the slave trade. Tlaib’s parents were immigrants from Palestine, the country which Trump pretty much endorses the colonization thereof by Israel. That whole thing got him slammed by other world leaders, and even other Republicans. “BUt tRuMpS nOT a rAcIsT!” And why’s that? The best reason the Trump administration could give was because MITCH MCCONNELL’S wife is Asian. Yes, because white men have never married Asian women because of a certain sexual stereotype, or to have them as a courtesan.
The fact that the man entitled to the office of President of this country has quoted Pastor Robert Jeffress that if the Democrats were to be successful in removing a Republican President from office, that it would cause a new Civil War, as if he could actually come together and orchestrate such a thing, proves that he expects to be able to get away with every disgusting act he makes as President, as well as that he is desperate to hold on to power, and will do anything to keep it. Retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel, Ralph Peters has called this a grave crime. How can he and his supporters expect to be seen as a legitimate force in this country if he has to threaten civil war? I swear, this happens every time the Democrats succeed in popularity and/or the elections; These people who were proud Americans when a Republican was in power suddenly want to reform the Confederacy, or something equally as bizarre. And people are forming ARMED MILITIAS to protect his presidency. People are preparing to force a Neo-Confederate state into existence, and start the Second American Civil War. What is this? Is this Sudan? Is this William The Bastard vs. Harold Godwinson? You cannot be more blind, and vehemently Anti-Liberal. I don’t care who you are, at this point. Please take off your “Make America Great Again” hats, and look at his Twitter for 2 seconds, and try telling me he is not a threat to American DEMOCRACY. He is a huge threat to our democracy, and it seems there is nothing short of imprisoning him and arresting his armed militias via the military that is going to stop this power grab. You know, despite having mostly Liberal views, I’ve never agreed with gun control, but after all the mass shootings last year, one of them taking upwards of 50 lives, and now Republicans and Neo-Nazis arming themselves to LITERALLY fight the Democrats, I kind of hope it happens. Half of me just wants to trigger them, and the other half thinks that these people really are crazy, and SHOULD have their weapons taken from them. This is why people want abortions. They don’t want to raise a kid in a messed up world where the Right is reaching for the Left’s throat like this. Would you, if Democrats were teaming up with Communists to form their own country, and kill all the Republicans?
I mentioned earlier that he is calling for foreign governments to interfere with the elections, and investigate Biden, the #1 threat to his re-election. The amount of desperation of a President to remain in office really never has been seen before in American history. His main plan is to bring up some dirt on Biden and his family, so maybe he will either lose support, or get him booted out of the primaries. Trump was investigated for this, and it’s no one’s fault but his own that he was impeached. He’s getting these foreign governments involved because he knows that Biden can and will win if he becomes the Democratic candidate, and even with the senate voting to acquit him, he’s helped his opponent deliver the finishing move to his Presidency.
Oh lord, of course I was going to have to mention the war. Did I mention the Kurds? And so why did Trump leave the Kurdish people to die by the hands of invading Turkish forces in Syria? Because (he thinks) they didn’t help us in the Second World War. You want to talk about the Second World War? During that time period, the Kurdish Iraqi levies probably didn’t have the power to station themselves across the world; They were probably mostly just fighting Vichy France (the Nazi puppet state, which occupied modern day Syria) and Rashid Ali’s government (The Kingdom Of Iraq, which supported the Nazis). What’s more, what use, what potential do you see in 1940’s Kurds that they would’ve been an effective ally against the Nazis and Japanese outside of being a small splinter militia of the British military? Are you kidding me? Moreover, let’s talk about the fact that during the Second World War, the Germans and Japanese were literally FIGHTING us, yet we still hold alliances with those 2 countries. So what is the big deal? If countries (and apparently non-sovereign militias, now) helping us win the Second World War is such a passionate issue to you, why haven’t you broke off with Japan and NATO, declared war on Germany and Japan, and use our massive nuclear arsenal to wipe them off the face of the Earth? Why bother with tariffs? Why worry about money when these 2 countries were, nearly 3/4 of a century ago (because I guess by his logic, no 2 countries can change so quickly without faking it to some extent), were trying to take away our freedom and reign down with terror WORSE than that of 18th century Britain? While we’re on the topic of countries that fought against us, let’s talk about the Ottoman Empire, Turkey’s predecessor state. They were on the Central Powers, we were on the Allies. Why not just invade that whole region and be done with it? Should we sanction Turkmenistan for not helping us, even though they were still part of the Soviet Union at the time? Or is it going to be the mere fact that they WERE part of the Soviet Union that we do? Or does he think that Muslims are going to beat each other up until there’s practically nothing left of the religion, and he’s going to kill them off that way, and is just using not fighting for the Allies in WW2 (even though they did) as an excuse to withdraw? I know you want Muslims to just kill each other off, but at least get your facts straight before giving a stupid reason to withdraw. WHY did we even leave if we knew Turkey would begin slaughtering Kurds, only to sanction them when they actually start? Jesus, is there anything beyond “stupid” that we can call Trump? So much for “Stable genius”. Maybe that could apply if used sarcastically. Wouldn’t be surprised if NATO breaks up because of this, seeing as how he thinks NATO (or really any alliance we’re in) is unfair for us to him. Maybe that’s his plan with this. Who really knows. When you have someone confused over your completely and utterly ridiculous actions as President, that’s when you know you screwed up. Oh yeah, remember that line about him believing Napoleon is still alive? He thinks Napoleon CAN be the one to save the Kurds. I’m sorry, but what in god’s name is that supposed to mean? I mean MAYBE he was just saying that to be funny, but given his previous remark about airports during the Revolution, I find that hard to believe. To his credit, he did include the modern day based Russia and China. But still, Napoleonic France? Napoleon wasn’t even still alive when Trump was born (1946). Napoleon died in 1821, over 100 YEARS before Trump was born. Christ in Heaven, next thing you know, he’s coming out and saying that by “Russia and China” he meant “The Russian Empire and The Qing Dynasty”. I’m assuming Canada is still a British colony? Does Brazil still belong to Portugal? What’s next? How much more idiotic and delusional can Trump get? I would bring up that time he called the Italian President “President Mozzarella”, and that The U.S. and Italy have been allies since Ancient Rome, but I heard it was the one example of fake news that Democrats were, for once, spreading.
I don’t know who will agree with me on this one, because it seems that Democrats and Republicans share common ground on this one thing. I know I shouldn’t let this get to me because I don’t smoke, but it still ticks me off that the Trump administration raised the minimum age to purchase cigarettes AND vaping products to 21 federally. I’m more upset because I feel like this takes some of the meaning away from being an adult for those that are 18, or are still 19 or 20. Trump signed it into law while awaiting his impeachment trial, and did it as part of a series of defense bills. What? So when an individual turns 18, they are immediately allowed to own their own house, get married, have a mortgage, join the military, get a tattoo, heck, they can even go into the porn industry! But as of December 20, 2019, they are barred from purchasing cigarettes, as well as the less dangerous alternative, vape pens. They lowered the age in the first place because it was deemed unacceptable that people between the ages of 18 and 20 were being sent to fight in Vietnam. What happened to that? Suddenly that no longer matters because the draft is no longer being used? So what would happen if war with Iran were to break out tomorrow? We’ll surely be drafted for that. Can we see the smoking age return to 18 though? Or will we see the voting age also return to 21? Can we please make up our minds how old we must be before we are legal adults? It’d make sense if we legalized marijuana federally, for a trade in. Give us at least that much. Weed is legal, but we have to wait until we’re 21 to buy either a tobacco product, a vape product, or a cannabis product. I think we should ban cigarettes in exchange for marijuana legalization, but right now, the law is stupid, and to me, comes off as another Elitist Conservative move by the Trump administration, and I hope that individuals between 18-20 that are hooked on cigarettes will vote Democrat in November.
I find it odd that Trump would accuse Democrats of fear mongering over the Coronavirus when this is the exact kind of crap that everyone would expect him to piggyback off of to secure a re-election. Like seriously, watch this pandemic get worse for us, and he comes out saying he’ll ban travel from China, and other East Asian countries. In MY opinion, as someone who will be voting Democrat in November, the Coronavirus is not a big deal. Sure, it’s spreading like crazy, but there are only a hundred-something people infected nationwide, vs. 332 million of us? A vaccine will be out soon, and this strain will be out like Ebola.
Him and his supporters are expecting a Nobel Peace Prize as if it’s in the natural order of the universe. But what has Trump done that shows his Presidency in a positive light? Is the economy better? Maybe. But according to some sources, we’re on track for a recession this year thanks to the trade war with China. And plus he’s cutting food stamps for thousands of poor Americans, laying off steel mill workers in Detroit, killing off dairy farms in Wisconsin, and limited benefits for college students. So by feeding off the American people, maybe the economy is better. I also would have brought up serving Daesh, but they were already on the decline before Obama was out of office, as well as denuclearizing North Korea, but I guess the Kim regime is still tossing nuclear threats at us. And let’s not forget that he almost started WW3 THREE TIMES; Once when he ignored Russia’s warning in consequence to a strike on the Assad regime, again when he approved a strike on Iran but pulled out at the last second, and now with the killing of Qasem Soleimani. Taking on a country like Iran seriously isn’t going to “Make America Great Again”, it’s only going to break the figurative back of this country. We are already the most spending country military-wise by nearly $500 billion. If the war with Iran actually happens, our annual spending could’ve potentially jumped from $716 billion to over $1 trillion. I’m surprised our GDP is able to keep up with the spending rate as it is. Not only would a war with Iran be super costly, it could also set the stage for a Chinese ascension to the #1 largest economy, and breed more terrorism in the Middle East. And also, let’s not forget that he’s holding immigrant children in concentration camps, is willing to let the Earth become a scorched, polluted, lifeless wasteland, wants to rule over the most powerful country like a tyrannical king, is a widely accused rapist whose lapdogs, governors in Republican states have women living in fear that if they get pregnant through a broken condom or a rape, that they wouldn’t have had access to a safe and legal abortion had they been more dedicated to overturning Roe v. Wade, has violated the rights of the people who are TRULY entitled to the land that us European-Americans ruthlessly and illegally conquered, and live on today, has threatened a civil war if the political process does not go in his favour, is leaving Syrian Kurds to die in a potential genocide at the hands of invading Turkish forces, asked foreignh governments to interfere with a guaranteed free and fair election coming in November, is cyberbullying a 16 year old girl just because he doesn’t agree with her stance on climate change, and because she got Person Of The Year when he believes he was entitled to it just because he’s the President, or whatever outweighed reason that I’m not currently aware of, and even made history in a negative way, by being the third President to be impeached. Now tell me, how many Presidents who were impeached won a Nobel Peace Prize? What’s even more on the border issue, is that he was prepared to deal with the migrant caravan in 2018 as a MILITARY INVASION from Mexico and other Central American countries, and was preparing to use military force to repel this “invasion” in a scene reminiscent of the Boston Massacre.
Did I mention that far-rightists TRUST Trump and his supporters? I mean maybe that’s obvious when Neo-Nazi groups are teaming up with Republican elitists to prepare for a civil war against the Biden administration, but British Anti-Muslim, Tommy Robinson wants to live in our country as a political refugee as our former tyrant overlords are becoming increasingly Left leaning, although so much so that you can’t even JOKE about The Third Reich without legal rammifications. I mean, what the Nazis did was terrible, no one (except for nut cases like Tommy Robinson) would argue with that, but if those rules applied here, lord help me I’d be crucified. But that doesn’t matter. When we have Anti-Muslim Neo-Nazis trying to reach out to our President, saying that they agree with his policies, and expressing a desire to migrate as a political refugee, that’s a serious problem.
I will keep repeating this list through this year, through the primaries, through the election, and possibly until inauguration in January 2021. I will be posting this on a number of Anti-Trump subreddits, and possibly Pro-Trump subreddits to hopefully wake up his supporters that this is not the America that seceded from The British Empire. If the founding fathers were put into a time machine on course to this date, they would be absolutely disgusted, and would be calling for not yet brainwashed Americans to take advantage of the second amendment, and prepare to oust this President who has lost all credibility, or at least protect ourselves from the increasingly violent tendencies of the opposite party.
Although these times are so desperate that the Trump administration is allowing kids to be detained separate from their families and be thrown in concentration camps so overcrowded that they have to stand and sleep in potentially freezing cold temperatures, probably without proper protection, and have to worry about being sexually assaulted and/or systematically killed, and that we ought to take matters into our own hands, I want to share some advice to my partners further Left on the spectrum, as well as the entire Left in general; be sophisticated and nonchalant towards Trump and his supporters. Show your hatred towards them through the disdain in your eyes, not the anger in your face. In other words, do not instigate physical combat with his supporters out in public. In December, a video surfaced on Facebook of a group of Democratic teenagers beating up a Trump supporter on a bus ride, last month. This violent behaviour should be condemned as an accurate example of the Radical Left that Trump repeatedly blames the entire Democratic party for. It’s embarrassing and degrading to our cause. Followers of Gandhi and Martin Luther King Jr. did not allow violence to drive them, and it succeeded in making British colonisers and segregationists look like heartless savages. The same might be said about the Trump supporters that are trolling all over Anti-Trump subs. Trump, on the other hand, encouraged [violent] behaviour against Hillary supporters during the 2016 election season, and had offered to pay his supporters’ legal fees. Let’s not stoop to his level. We are smarter, and generally better people than they are. We know this, but we must make sure of it. The only Democrats that have anything to prove are the candidates competing for nomination to the election, and what they have to prove is that they’re the better choice. As for the border issue; let’s trust that when Biden is elected and inaugurated, that he will do everything in his power to reverse the decision made by the Trump administration, and have that situation squared away as soon as possible. I really do worry about those kids, because if that was me when I was 6 years old, moving to a new country, probably legally even, and being detained anyway, and separated from my parents with maybe only my 2 year old baby brother with me, him and I would be scared to death. Knowing this, I refuse to stand with Trump, especially on immigration. He’s a heartless demon. My parents would probably resist something like this, and on top of that, we’d have to witness them being beaten, arrested, probably even killed.
Trump has all the makings of a tyrant. His strategy is to bend the rules, and blatantly break a few, to rule like one.
To Conservatives and other Rightists that have been convinced that Trump is a terrible President, but choose to not support a Democratic candidate, there is an alternative; Bill Weld. At this point, I don’t even care if it needs to be a different Republican, but Trump needs to be stopped. Support Weld in the Republican primaries, please!
I remember this one nonsensical tweet in particular from him, where he CALLED FOR HIS OWN IMPEACHMENT. Well, your wish had been granted, Mr. President. You could’ve at least accepted it, you sadist.
When Christianity Today, the top evangelical newsletter is calling for his removal ahead of impeachment, and questions the unconditional loyalty Trump supporters have for their choice of President, that’s when you know it’s a must. Christianity Today isn’t too Liberal, either. Seriously, they couldn’t help but sneak in their anti-abortion sentiments. Let’s make this the last stop of the Trump Train before we send it to the junkyard for scrap.
I have one last address, to fellow Democrats, before I end this article. A screencap had been floating around various Anti-Trump subs through last month, of Ivanka Trump quoting Thomas Jefferson’s denial that he had raped Sally Hemmings, a woman that he had kept as a slave, “which he did, in fact, do”. Let me just start by saying, I hate rapists and sexual predators of all kinds. Rape is actually the ONE crime I see fit for the death penalty. I am not, nor have I ever been, and I certainly never will be, an apologist. But the accusation that Jefferson raped Hemmings, to me, is outlandish and baseless, and it hurts to see this coming from my party, because Thomas Jefferson, a man who was very Liberal himself, is my favorite founding father. Despite owning slaves himself, he wanted to write a condemnation of slavery in the Declaration Of Independence, but out of fear of losing support from the Southern colonies, he deleted it from the final draft. A bachelor in history described it best him/herself; Their affair started in France, where slavery was ILLEGAL. Hemmings followed Jefferson back to the states. She consented and was devoted to Jefferson. This is deemed common knowledge by the person who wrote this, and I, myself certainly find it implausible that Jefferson would be capable of such an atrocious crime with the morals and principles that he had. Yet the opposition I saw towards Jefferson was sickening, saying he played the victim card, calling him a “white male” as if it’s a bad thing? “White male”? I’m sorry, but how can we be dedicated to the erasure of racism AND sexism if being a white male is supposed to be a bad thing? I’m a white male, am I demon just because of this? I’ll bet there are tons of white male Democrats who will do everything in their power to sway the support and the odds of winning in the favor of the Democratic candidate. Making being a white male a bad thing, not only that, but attacking a person who, if they were alive today, would be vehemently Anti-Trump and vote Democrat himself, is how you LOSE Moderate support. We don’t want that as we get closer to the election. I’m a Liberal, but not like this.
Sometimes you just have to know when to criticize your party. It’s the reason I call forth the support of enlightened Republicans.
May this list expand as I stay with you, and help expose Trump’s tyrannical and unpolitician-like behaviour. May you have a friend in the Progressive Moderate u/frantzianleader.

2020.03.04 08:00 frantzianleader 8 months remain until election day. Here is why Trump MUST lose!

2020.03.02 23:02 Celine91baby Why are republicans in such denial that other countries are so much better than us?

In terms of Education Environmentalism Healthcare Quality of life etc
I have a bit of a long example of the kind of people like this who I know personally
I have a few realitives that listen to conspiracy theorist like Limbaugh and Glen Beck and believe every word those idiots say
My mother is one of them. And yes she's a Republican, simply because they stand for "Christian values"
She's a bit homophobic in some ways ,but she doesn't think gays getting married affects her life at all so she doesn't care in that sense
She is pro life even though she has wished death upon many democratic politicians for YEARS
She grew up very poor(not anymore) and was on social welfare programs in her youth, but according to her "those had no socialist traits"
She denies that trickle down economics killed the working class and it actually made it better for the poor people.
(Even though she can't ever answer as to how it did help the working class)
She's not racist either (but she has made racist jokes many times but also jokes about white people to(Yes she's also white)
She's also dated outside of her race, and has had no problem with her friends and family doing the same)
But to the main point, she thinks universal healthcare is "evil" and America has the best healthcare in the world (without evidence)
She claims none of the people in those countries like universal healthcare and they all come here for treatment (Again without evidence)
She claims that those countries are not as educated as Americans and thinks the dems higher actors to brainwash people into thinkingso
She doesn't believe in climate change(only because Gore ran a stong campaign for it) and thinks people who do are "idiots"
She hates cities and city people and prefers rural hicks as friends (with a few exceptions)
She also thinks the corona virus is overblown by the "liberal news" and thinks we will all be fine because "Trump and Glen Beck say so"
Glen Beck tried to downplay it by saying that we are "only hearing about it now because our health care is so good"
Why are many Americans like this?

2020.02.17 08:04 frantzianleader 9 months remain until election day. Here is why Trump MUST lose.

Ladies and gentlemen, it is (Not My) President’s Day, and in about 9 months, Americans will be voting in the election. It still seems as though former Vice President Joseph Biden is the Democrats’ best bet at defeating Trump. The trial for Trump’s impeachment is still ongoing, and it will determine whether or not he will be removed and convicted for abuse of power and obstruction of congress. Today, I have a list of things that Trump has said and done to discredit him as President of these United States, and I want to be able to convince everyone, if not just anyone from the Far Left to the Moderate Right, and all in between, to support removal, or at least a Biden victory in the election this November.
A screencap had been floating around various Anti-Trump subs through this month, of Ivanka Trump quoting Thomas Jefferson’s denial that he had raped Sally Hemmings, a woman that he had kept as a slave, “which he did, in fact, do”.

2020.02.17 08:02 frantzianleader 9 months remain until election day.

A screencap had been floating around various Anti-Trump subs through this month, of Ivanka Trump quoting Thomas Jefferson’s denial that he had raped Sally Hemmings, a woman that he had kept as a slave, “which he did, in fact, do”.
